Needless to say the wine culture in Italy is very strong and Tuscan wines are one of the most important reasons for that. Tuscany is dominated by San Giovese grapes but there are outstanding other varieties in the area! Our venue offers a tour of their own vineyard and associated tasting. In the Maremma region of Italy medieval towns abound and amongst them just 20 minutes away from our venue is one of the gems of the region, Massa Marittima. The walk through the historic town leads you through picturesque alleys populated by charmin little shops and local restaurants and cafes. Eventually you will find your way to Piazza Garibaldi in the center of town where you can find the San Cerbone Cathedral, the main attraction of the town. Next to the cathedral there is an archeological museum about the Etruscan civilization. If time permits, we encourage a visit to Parco di Poggio just outside of town for some beautiful panomaric views of the town and the rolling Tuscan hills
Approximately 40 minutes south of our venue is one of the most iconic beach towns in the Maremma coastline, Castiglione della Pescaia. A former Etruscan village, the city is perched on hills overlooking the sea. Surrounding the city is a collection of pine trees and olive trees. In the hear of the city there is a medieval castle and ancient walls dateing back to the 10th century initially called “Torre Pisana” and built as a coastal tower. The key attraction of the city are its magnificent beaches framed by cliffs. Not too far from Castiglione is another famous beach town, Punta Ala, where a golf outing is being held.
Many of you (just like us!) are golf enthusiasts. On Saturday morning, a small golf outing will be held for whoever would like to partake at a discounted group rate. If interested in playing please message Giorgio directly who is coordinating the golf efforts and associated transport needs. The golf club offers rental clubs at the venue for both men's and women's. If you are unable to join on Saturday, do not fret as there are tee times available Sunday as well but you will not receive the discounted rate.
