Things To Do

We have compiled a list of some of our favorite places. Hopefully you will be able to find time to see why!

San Diego Zoo

2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101

Almost our second home! We've spent many afternoons and weekends walking around here - be sure to wear comfy shoes! This Zoo is one of the top rated in the world! With trams and ski lifts to get you around this massive park this is a wonderful place to kill 5+ hours. Pro Tip - outside food and bev are allowed! So pack a lunch and stay a while :)

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

15500 San Pasqual Valley Road, Escondido, CA 92027

Did you know you can spend the night here?! And would you believe it if I told you we did!! This park is close to our venue if you're staying in Escondido and is another great option for getting in those steps while looking at animals! Like the Zoo, you are also allowed to bring in food and drinks :) The San Diego Zoo and Safari Park have long been leaders in conservation and animal welfare - they actively participate in global conservation projects, habitat restoration, and breeding programs for endangered species! They have successfully bred and reintroduced Cali Condors (near-extinction), Black Rhinos (critically endangered), and the Giant Pandas (contributed to population growth in China). The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is a nonprofit conservation organization funding global projects to protect wildlife and ecosystems as well as partner with scientists to prevent the spread of diseases affecting endangered species worldwide. By visiting these parks, you are contributing too!

SeaWorld San Diego

500 Sea World Drive, San Diego, CA 92109

Can you tell we like spending our free time looking at animals?! Sea World has taken several steps in recent years to improve conservation efforts (rescuing and rehabilitating thousands of animals, partnering with conservation organizations to support wildlife rescue and research, and donating millions to marine conservation projects worldwide) while also taking steps to improve animal welfare (putting an end to orca breeding, improved enclosures to better simulate natural environments, and replacing "theatrical" orca shows with educational presentations). Its hard not to feel bad seeing all these beautiful creatures in captivity but breathe a little easier knowing this. SeaWorld not only has shows but also tons of rollercoasters to give you a full day of activities! Tip - If you are active duty or a veteran you get free entry for you and your entire group!

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA

Located right near the heart of Downtown, Balboa park is a great place to spend the day. With museums to fit everyones interests, multiples restaurants and cafes, botanical, rose and cactus gardens - this is a beautiful and expansive park that has it all!

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

12600 North Torrey Pines Road, San Diego, CA 92037

With tons of hiking trails on cliffs along the ocean, this is a great place to see what makes San Diego beaches so beautiful!

Oceanside Municipal Pier

Oceanside, CA 92054

If you're staying in Escondido, Oceanside is the closest beach town to the west. This cute little town is great to visit if you're keen on seeing the ocean - with a long boardwalk and pier, this is a great place to come walk around and take in the views.

For all the days along the way
