Our love story began on April 9th, 2021, though fate had given us plenty of chances to meet at earlier friend events—destiny just had its own perfect timing. At the time, I was grinding away at an accounting firm, working seven days a week and feeling like I needed a spark in my life. One evening, my best friend, Phil, called to say he was in town and wanted to hang out. With work at 7 a.m. the next morning in Arlington, I wasn’t exactly eager to go out, but when he mentioned that Maddie and Javen were bringing a gorgeous California friend to their party, and suddenly, I was convinced. The moment I walked into the party and saw Hannah Hall (who arrived fashionably late, of course), I knew right away she was the bright spot I’d been waiting for. I was instantly drawn to her, and without hesitation, I introduced myself. Talking to her felt so natural and easy, like we had been best friends our entire lives. Hannah noticed my Vans and Woody’s Wharf shirt and assumed I was from California—the guy she’d always dreamed about. To her surprise, I told her I was actually from Texas, and we both shared a laugh about it. As the night went on, the party moved to the bars, and I made sure we ended up in the same Uber—I couldn’t let the night end without spending more time together. I asked her out for a day date the following weekend, but she turned me down. However, a week later, our friends’ circles overlapped again, and this time, I convinced her to go on that day date. From then on, the rest was history! We started spending more and more time together, going to concerts, sporting events, and eventually meeting my family. Hannah has become such a huge part of my life—she’s now a dog lover, a sports fanatic, and even loves Tex-Mex as much as I do. From that first night of shared Ubers to where we are now, every moment has been incredible. I wouldn’t change a single part of our story, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
