Hotel Xcaret Mexico

The Bride and Groom, as well as the immediate family, and wedding party will be staying at Hotel Xcaret. We will be arriving Tuesday November 2nd and staying through Monday November 8th. This is where we will have our welcome drinks and rehearsal dinner! It is also a ~10 min drive from our wedding venue!

Hotel Xcaret Arte (Adults only)

"Xcaret Arte" is the sister Hotel to "Hotel Xcaret Mexico" where our room block is currently located. Xcaret Arte includes all of the same perks as Hotel Xcaret Mexico (all inclusive park access, food, drinks, airport transfers) but is ADULTS ONLY. Arte and Hotel Xcaret Mexico are adjoined, but have separate pools and restaurants. Guests of Arte are allowed at Hotel Xcaret Mexico but not vis versa because Arte is adults only. Travel by Erin can help you book this hotel or you can book via Expedia.com, Chase Rewards, or any other travel website.

Insured Travel Options

We understand that it is more important than ever to protect your travel commitments during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are travel booking options to guarantee your vacation is protected: - Travel By Erin has an insurance option available when booking in the our hotel block. Please discuss what insurance covers when you book with Erin. - Expedia.com and Hotels.com also offer a free cancellation room option when making a reservation. For example, Expedia has free cancelation until the last week of October for reservations during our wedding time frame. The room rate will be higher than the hotel block, but that is another option for insuring your room at Hotel Xcaret. The following airlines are currently offering expanded cancellation options as well: - Southwest Airlines (www.southwest.com) - United Airlines (www.united.com)

Flight

Cancun International Airport (CUN)

Once arriving in Cancun, there is a 45 min drive to Hotel Xcaret. If you are staying at Hotel Xcaret, your booking includes roundtrip airport transport. Please make sure Travel by Erin is aware of your flight details. Travel by Erin will be informing Hotel Xcaret of everyone's arrival times for the shuttle.

Alternate hotel or Airbnb

Please note that you do not have to stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico to attend the wedding. Obviously, we would prefer our friends and family stay at our hotel (Hotel Xcaret Mexico) but we want you to know there are other options in the area. Keep in mind, we will be hosting an optional welcome event/happy hour at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. If you choose to stay at another hotel, you would have to pay for a day pass to attend the welcome event. Occidental at Xcaret is a one of the most affordable all inclusive options that is right next to the wedding venue. David and I stayed here for our scouting trip and thought this hotel was a bit dated but the rooms are clean and the grounds and beach are well maintained. After staying at other 5 star hotels in this area, David and I were not so impressed with the food but for a very affordable price this is a family friendly all inclusive option. Airbnb also has a variety of properties in Downtown Playa Del Carmen.
