It is not required, but it is recommended. Our contract ensures you get the best rate by staying with us at Cabo Azul. The room block is first come first serve. If the room block does run out you can still book at Cabo Azul outside of the room block. The shuttles will run from Cabo Azul to Acre Resort (wedding venue) for your convenience the day of the wedding. However, if you'd like to stay somewhere else there are plenty of other options outside of Cabo Azul.
The average high is around 80 degrees and the average low gets down to 60 degrees in January. There is very minimal rain in January so we can expect dry conditions.
Please note, to ensure a particular atmosphere and experience for all guests, this celebration will be adults-only. If you would like to bring your children to Cabo, we recommend our hotel babysitting services during the ceremony and reception.
Yes. The Mexican government only requires that your passport must be valid during the entirety of your trip, so make sure you have a passport that is valid through the end of January 2025. However, it's recommended that you have at least six months of validity left on your passport before it expires while you are in Mexico.
Drink bottled water only to be safe. Ice at restaurants and resorts is made with purified water so is fine to consume.
We recommend making a quick trip to a nearby store to keep breakfast items, snacks, drinks, and other small provisions in your room. For those staying at Cabo Azul, we recommend a store called "La Comer" which was similar to a Mexican Target inventory-wise. We don't recommend relying only on food/drink from the resort restaurants during your stay. The food/drink at the Cabo Azul resort is all delicious, American-sized portions, & expensive. On beverages, many guests at Cabo Azul bring Yeti-style drink coolers to accompany them at the pool/beach. We recommend bringing your own drink cooler from home or purchasing one from La Comer upon arrival for ~$10 USD. La Comer is only a 10m walk away - Google Maps Directions from Cabo Azul to La Comer are included below. Also within a less than 10m Uber are a Wal-Mart, another Mexican Grocery company called "Selecto Chedraui", among other American food options such as Subway or a McDonald's. Uber is very prevalent in Cabo and can be relied on for 10m trips all the way to 30m trips to Cabo San Lucas if desired. As a more convenient option, at Cabo Azul there is an in-resort grocery store that sells marked up water, grocery items, individual beer/drinks, bottled liquor and more. Prices are ~30% more at the resort grocery than at a home store, so we recommend stocking up at one of the separate stores nearby.
