While we love your little ones, our weekend events will be adults only due to capacity restrictions. We hope you'll still be able to attend! If you plan to bring your kids with you on the trip to Telluride, we can provide you with a list of some reputable babysitting companies in town. Some options are "Annies Nannies" or "Telluride Sitters". Reach out with any questions. https://www.annies-nannies.com/ or https://www.telluridesitters.com/
They are both great options because once you arrive in Telluride everything is walking distance or accessible via the free gondola! Booking your lodging in the Mountain Village area will be most convenient for getting to the venue on the day of the wedding, and this is where shuttles will drop guests off at the end of the night. If you prefer to stay downtown over Mountain Village, you'll be able to take the gondola home after the reception and it runs until 2AM on weekends.
Altitude Sickness can be a very real problem for people visiting Colorado. The town of Telluride is located at 8,750' above sea level and our ceremony will be at over 10,500'. If you can, we'd recommend going somewhere like Denver with a higher elevation first to acclimate. Please make sure to keep the altitude in mind and drink lots of water/limit alcohol and caffeine. It's good to remember that at 10,000 ft., 1 alcoholic beverage = 2-3 alcoholic beverages. Sunscreen and chapstick are your friends! Symptoms of altitude sickness may include: -Headache -Nausea/vomiting -Shortness of breath -Rapid heart rate -Sleepiness or sleeplessness -Dizziness or lightheadedness If you are experiencing any symptoms, please call the Telluride Regional Medical Center (970-728-3848). A helpful article explaining altitude-related symptoms can be found here: https://invitedhome.com/travel-articles/telluride-co-altitude-sickness-and-prevention
The weather ranges during this time of year. Generally during the day you can expect sunny skies with a high of 65℉ and at night you can expect temperatures to drop to around 40℉. Make sure to bring layers as some of the weekend events will be outside in the evening.
The wedding ceremony will be outdoors, so we recommend bringing a jacket or shawl just in case. The cocktail hour is planned for outside on the patio of Gorrono Ranch and then we'll move things indoors for dinner and dancing!
We are having an unplugged ceremony! We have a wonderful photographer and know that she will capture the most amazing pictures. So please keep your phones away, be present and enjoy the moment! Feel free to take tons of pictures during the rest of the night!
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any dietary restrictions that need to be accommodated.
