Travel Note
If you're flying in from out of town, you have two options. You can either fly into Santa Barbara (SBA), a small airport about a 30 minute drive from Santa Ynez, or you can fly into Los Angeles (LAX), which is about 2 hours away but will provide you direct flight options/ more flight options generally. Both airports have car rentals available, and we'd recommend renting one if you're looking to explore while you're in town. If you're hoping to avoid a car rental, you could cab to Santa Ynez from the Santa Barbara airport. Or, from LAX, you can take the Santa Barbara Airbus (https://www.sbairbus.com) from LAX to Santa Barbara and cab from there. The Airbus is great - it's a clean and spacious charter style bus.
Travel Note
We recommend staying in an Airbnb so you can be close to Cole's parent's home where the wedding is taking place, Bar Le Cote in Los Olivos where our welcome party is, and really experience Santa Ynez. If you're interested in booking an Airbnb, we recommend starting with this list! All of them are under 10 minute drive from the venue. This list features a range of Airbnb sizes and costs, for those who want a one bedroom to those who may want to split a larger place with friends or family. Be sure to click on the property you're interested in and tailor to your dates and guest number for an accurate cost/availability.
Hotel
For those who want to stay in a hotel, we have a block of rooms at Pea Soup Andersen's. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the venue. With the block, it's about $162/night. You can also book without the discount at $171/night. To book within the block, call 800-732-7687 and reserve under "McCasland wedding."
Travel Note
In addition to Pea Soup Andersen's Inn, you can check out the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott (15 min drive from venue). More luxury local options include the Ballard Inn (3 min drive from venue) and Hotel Genevieve (7 min drive from venue).
Shuttle
May 23, 2026 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We have rented a school bus to shuttle guests to and from the wedding. When you RSVP we will ask for the address of where you are staying, and the bus will pick you up from your lodging and bring you to the ceremony. There will be waves of drop off at the end of the night - the bus will take you directly to your residence. There is little to no Uber or Lyft in Santa Ynez, so either take our bus or drive yourself (there is parking in Cole's parent's driveway).
