Chris and Hannah’s story began one night in a pub many of you will know well — The Norbiton. Hannah was working a shift she wasn’t meant to be working, and Chris arrived with his mates on an unplanned stop on their pub crawl. Fate, however, had other ideas. Chris ended his pub crawl early and spent the rest of the evening at the bar, distracting Hannah for the remainder of her shift. Somewhere between the flirting and the fun, Hannah convinced Chris that her favourite shot was Coffee Patrón — which just happened to be the most expensive on the menu. A strong start, really. After surviving university, travelling the world, and the years fondly known as the glory days, Chris decided it was time to propose. And while he did take Hannah to Finland for their seven-year anniversary, he would like it known that he proposed after six years — technically six years — as it was the evening before the anniversary, and therefore not quite seven. 2025 was a challenging, character-building year that brought unexpected loss and quiet reminders of how precious time really is. But they got through it together, holding on to love, laughter, and those they carry with them always. So 2026 is about joy, love, and celebrating everything that came before — and what better way to do that than by finally saying yes to forever. Turns out the right love story sometimes starts with the wrong shift.
