For planning purposes, please let us know whether or not you plan to attend as soon as possible, especially if you are traveling from out of state!
Reach out to us and we can help! Alaska Airlines and Delta are the only airlines that fly into Juneau and they both run regular flights from Seattle during the summer. We would recommend planning on flying in Thursday and flying out on Monday if you just want to be there for the wedding events, or coming in the week before the wedding if you plan on doing any sightseeing or personal travel. If you're feeling adventurous, or you hate flying, you can also drive to Bellingham, Washington and take a 3-day ferry up to Juneau. Whenever you do book tickets, please let us know your travel dates so we can coordinate rides and accommodation.
We can provide distant family and friends with a zoom link to watch the ceremony! Just reach out to us and let us know if you'd like us to send one to you.
Due to the size restrictions of our ceremony and reception venues, only those guests who have designated plus ones listed as "guest unknown" can bring their dates. We also ask that plus ones come to the reception only, since the ceremony will be smaller and more intimate.
Go for it! We aren't married to our registry (haha). Homemade gifts are so special and a great way to give something more personal and sentimental. Whatever you decide to bring, we appreciate you thinking of us!
Our wedding ceremony will closely resemble a Lutheran worship service. We will sing hymns, participate in communion, and have readings from scripture. Church, and SOV in particular, is kind of the whole reason we ended up together and continues to be a big part of our lives. However, for many of our guests, we understand that this might be an uncomfortable or unfamiliar experience. You are totally free to participate to the level you feel comfortable with and opt out of any parts of the service, we just ask that you remain respectful throughout the ceremony. In general, we would appreciate if people refrain from using their phones, taking lots of pictures, or otherwise distracting from the sacred experience of the wedding.
