This special wine tour is a meaningful part of our story, as it’s where Beau proposed. The tour will take you along the stunning coastline from Hygge Café in Haumoana, through the picturesque vineyards lining the TukiTuki River, and on to Black Barn in Havelock North. You can choose between road bikes or electric bikes—though we recommend electric bikes, especially after enjoying a few wines! For those who prefer not to cycle, you’re very welcome to join us by meeting at any of the wineries along the way.

We will be doing the Giant Circuit Hike. This is classified as an advanced level hike although most of it is very chill. The longest trail in Te Mata Park, the Giant Circuit takes you to the summit, traversing varied terrain and taking in some spectacular views along the way. The trail passes through the majestic Giant Redwoods, along the southern boundary of the Park, and includes a precipitous switchback section below the summit. The trail is narrow and steep in places, care is needed. Be aware that a section of track between the Main Gates Car Park and the Saddle is shared with uphill mountain bikers. ** If you are from outside of New Zealand, please apply extra sun block **
