We make a point of stopping in for beverages, baked goods, and chocolates every time we are in the area.
A must for those who enjoy cycling, especially during a fall cape trip. There are plenty of different options for where to start, as well as bike rentals in those areas. One of those lots is right by the Chocolate Sparrow.
Hannah's all time favorite beach. Sure it might be too cold for swimming or sun tanning in October, but it still makes for a lovely place for a walk.
This beach is a great one on the bay side of the cape. At low tide, you can walk out very far (miles even!) in quite shallow water, and while still cold in the autumn, the water will be warmer than ocean side beaches.
Great place to pick up sandwiches before heading to the beach, or picking up ingredients to grill your own dinner. They also usually have a nice selection of wines and deserts.
We love competing against each other at mini golf. Pirate's Cove courses are some of our favorites.
We love going to renaissance faires. This was the first one we attended together. There are many fun things to do including visiting vendors, watching performers, and of course, eating the giant turkey legs.
Take a day trip to Martha's vineyard with this ferry between Hyannis and Oak Bluffs. You can then get to many other points on the island using the VTA bus. We recommend spending at least a little time in Edgartown, where Arthur spent his summers while growing up.
Chatham is a lovely place to enjoy some shopping and a stroll. We particularly enjoy the galleries of local artists. Chatham Lighthouse is a nice place to stop to round out the trip with some sight-seeing.
There are lots of fun things to do and see in Provincetown (shopping, restaurants, Race Point beach), even in the off-season. We always go for a visit during our cape trips, and have even stayed a few times in the winter for a relaxing getaway.
Take a day trip to Nantucket with the help of the Steamship Authority's high speed ferry from Hyannis.
