Things To Do

Come explore our town! If you want a personalized list of recommendations, reach out to one of us! We're happy to share our favorite gems.
The Rosemary House

The Rosemary House

120 South Market Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

While the tea shop is a delight for all kinds of teas and other souvenirs, you must venture to the backyard (past the Book Tardis) and explore the gardens. This is where Hannah proposed to Alli! (Warning: In August, you'll wish you brought bug spray!)

Rakestraw's Ice Cream

313 South Market Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

No trip is complete without ice cream! Stop at Rakestraw's for a local favorite!

Mechanicsburg Museum Association

2 West Strawberry Alley, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

About a three minutes walk from our home, we love to visit the Mechanicsburg Museum every time there's a new exhibit in the Freight Station! A great (free) place to learn some Mechanicsburg history!

Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park

1 Memorial Park Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

Need a place to walk, run, or play? Check out Soldiers and Sailors! If you walk enough, you might find the community garden that we help with.

Dough n Joe - Mechanicsburg

33 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

This spot has became one of our Saturday go-to's with amazing donuts (Hannah loves the cinnamon roll) and great coffee.

Kanagawa

41 West Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

There's so many great restaurants in Mechanicsburg to choose from, so here's a couple! Kanagawa has great Japanese food and a calm atmosphere.

Hellenic Kouzina

500 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

If you are interested in Greek food, Hellenic Kouzina is a crowd favorite!

Water Golf on City Island

Water Golf on City Island

600 Riverside Dr, Harrisburg, PA 17101

If you decide to venture out into Harrisburg, we have to recommend that you play Water Golf on City Island. This was our first date spot, so it's really where the magic began. We recommend parking in one of the main lots when you first enter the island (unless there's a Senator's Game!) and then walking back to mini golf. There is a closer parking lot, but it might be a little harder to navigate there if it's your first time. When you're done, you can get ice cream where you got your clubs, go to the Beach Club for a drink, or walk across the walking bridge to the city while you have free parking.
