June 13th, in The Year of Our Lord 2026
Unfortunately yes. Due to the limited capacity of Old Scotch Church, we had to extremely limit our guest list for the ceremony. However, we have so many people we want to celebrate with, we picked a reception venue that could accommodate more people! Your save the date and your invitation will specify when and where we would love to celebrate with you!
Just to make things easier for you, yes and no :) Sadly due to the capacity of Old Scotch, our ceremony is limited to kids ages 13 and up unless specifically listed on your invite. However, kids are more than welcome at the reception!
Old Scotch Church. The one in Hillsboro, OR. (Not the Old Scotch Settlement in Stanley, New Brunswick, Canada)
30685 NW Scotch Church Rd Hillsboro, OR 97124-8331
That's a good question
Parking is slightly limited, so we encourage carpooling as much as possible :) That being said, here is a link to Old Scotch's Parking Guidelines (and by link I mean something you will sadly have to copy + paste into a new browser...sorry): https://oldscotchchurch.org/wp-content/uploads/Parking-Instructions-map.pdf
We are having out reception at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Specifically in their Imbrie Meadow outdoor venue (which is right next to their main building, so you don't need to put anything different in your Google Maps to get there)
Yes. Please dress. We didn't go into computer science, so we aren't necessarily too worried about the code part, but whatever floats your boat.
Dress like you would imagine a field of wildflowers would dress on a delightful yet vaguely warm Saturday afternoon in June. Light florals and fun colors are encouraged.
I'm so glad you asked! Here are some hotels that are close to the reception location: - SpringHill Suites by Marriott Portland Hillsboro - Cedartree Hotel - Holiday Inn Portland West - Hillsboro By IHG *Please note we have never stayed in these hotels before and do not personally endorse their quality or the comfiness. These were chosen based off of location, so if you stay in one of these hotels and it is not a satisfactory experience, feel free to take it up with the Hotel and complain on Facebook or write a strongly worded email or something.
Uh...yes. You can't bring any cases of beer, or any alcohol for that matter.
Yes
You have asked the right people. And by that I mean you asked the couple who has connections with people in the area who really like food and can give great recommendations. After polling said connections, here is what we came up with: Do you just want a classic burger? - Helvetia Tavern (cash only) Feeling French? - La Provence Boulangerie & Patisserie How about some Hawaiian? - 808 Grinds - Roxy's How about "Generic Nice Restaurant"? - BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse - Copper River What more of a Cafe feel? - Longbottom Coffeehouse (closes at 3) - Collective Market Craving Vietnamese? - Long's Vietnamese Kitchen - CM Bahn Mi When was the last time you had a great Gyro? - Twisted Gyro - Gyro House There are also lots of food cart spots around, if you want more of a choose-your-own-adventure kind of meal :)
Not as far as we are aware, but there is a cemetery right outside so you never know I guess.
I've never done it before (even though I was supposed to for driver's ed), but I actually heard that there's a super convenient way to learn how! In your search bar, type in www.youtube.com. Then, there will be a super helpful video to walk you through it!
I went into audit. Ask Alekai.

It's a mere 998 miles actually! Just head east on Scotch Church road until you hit the traffic circle. Take the 3rd exit onto Jackson road, and after .4 miles take the ramp on the right to US-26 East. Drive for just shy of 10 miles and use the right 2 lanes to take exit 69A for OR-217 South towards Tigard/Salem. After 3.6 miles keep left to stay on OR-217, and drive for another 3.5 miles before taking the I-5 South exit. From here, buckle up and settle in, because we have 570 miles on I-5 South before you have to come-to and keep left to stay on I-5 (follow signs for Los Angeles). Now you have another 346 miles on I-5 South to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of...well, California I guess. Then, you'll keep left, then go straight, then keep left again, then continue straight, then (you guessed it) keep left, go straight, keep left, then go straight again, all to stay on I-5 South. Now, you can do what we've all been waiting for, go right and take exit 110B for Disneyland Dr. See, easy, simple, and straightforward!
Not a question, but valid nonetheless. We exist simply to entertain anyone who happens to be in our general vicinity.
