Matron of Honor
My sister and I were best friends from Day 1. Devin was and is who I try to emulate; I remember copying her music to my iTunes or "borrowing" her books and clothes. She's a crafting aficionado, cooking enthusiast, and a fantastic listener. Our relationship is a mix of exchanging photos of our cats, discussing anything Harry Potter-related, and trading DIY recipes. Plus I always know Devin is ready to belt out Wannabe by Spice Girls with me at a moment's notice.
Matron of Honor
My big sister. In high school and college, I would frequent her and Nat’s Sherman Oaks apartment and later, their house in West Hills. I had my first tequila shot with them (which I still hate) and played so much Catan. We share a strong love of Zac Brown Band; we have been to 5 of their concerts together. She has given me 4 of my 7 niblings (Maggie and Reuben included). While I miss her so much in Australia, I’m happy she’s just a video call away!
Maid of Honor
I decided to select random room assignments when studying abroad in London and wasn't expecting to make new friends while constantly traveling. I'm so glad I was wrong because I met two of my best friends in my dorm room, one of which was Katlyn. Since then, Katlyn has been a travel buddy/best friend as we explored Europe, Asia, and road-tripped around the US together. She is an expert in all things Bachelor franchise, PR, and astrology related!
Matron of Honor
My middle sister. Growing up, I used to sit in her room to watch her play the Sims, which is still one of my favorite games, and one of the reasons why I grew to love video games so much. We used to love to play Frequency together on the PS2. She took me to my first frat party at age 15 when I visited her up at Cal. Although my dream of going to Cal just like her did not come to fruition, I love that I live up here now, just a short drive away from her, Danny, the kids, and Reuben.
Bridesmaid
Similar to Katlyn, Tiffany shared a room (and bunkbed) in London with me. Tiffany dealt with my escapades abroad and decided to stick around. One of which was poorly riding bikes and unknowingly leading us into oncoming traffic where London cabs are ruthless. She swears to never let me lead again. Nowadays, with Tiffany in NYC, we discuss the best food spots near her, books we're loving, or our next big travel destinations.
Wedding Party
We’ve known each other for a long time through Girl Scouts but became close friends as Specialists together at camp (a running theme of my friends). She makes the best buttermilk pie, and Spesh Crew always knows our camping menu is going to be 5-star when she is around. She’s never afraid to laugh at her own jokes. When we all play games together, she’ll be one of the first to laugh, which causes everyone else to laugh too!
Bridesmaid
My friendship with Kacey is two decades old and has traveled from OC → SF → London and back. We both attended elementary all the way to college together and even took it as far as to work at the same company! Our friendship really flourished in high school with our love of music and craving to go to every concert we could. Today we take our friendship international with trips all over Europe and Asia together with "the Lads" (Katlyn, Tiffany, Kacey + I).
Wedding Party
We met at camp (shocking), but we became friends when I spent half a summer with him teaching me how to run the Laser Tag activity. He taught me how to solder and fix the equipment, we consoled sad (or angry) campers that weren't able to play that day, and had close calls with smoke machines and fire alarms. Since then, our friendship has only grown, and I always look forward to our hangouts. We’ve been to Disneyland countless times, camp with Spesh Crew at least once a year, and now we are both in each other’s weddings!
Bridesmaid
We first met in elementary school where we were always the two shortest kids around. Over the past 20 years, you could probably find us watching School of Rock, baking cookies (eating most of the cookie dough), attending Greta Van Fleet concerts, hitting second street, or raving about Led Zeppelin. Nichole is the first person you should ask what movie or show to watch because always has the best recommendations. I'm so excited for her to be a part of my wedding party and to also be a part of her big day!
Wedding Party
Neither of us remembers exactly when we met, but we know it was at camp when he helped me set up the Laser Tag activity for camp. We spent a few days together craning our necks up at the ceiling changing all the lights to black lights, and getting splinters from assembling the plywood barriers. We spent all of our time talking about basketball, Disneyland, and video games, and nothing has changed. Ian introduced me to NBA 2K, and demolishes me whenever we play, but I can always get him back in Mario Kart. He moved to Chicago a few years ago, but that hasn’t stopped us from FaceTiming whenever there’s an important basketball game on.
Bridesmaid
Natalie was a fast friend and sister which made living down the street from one another the best thing. Our friendship can be captured by countless camping trips together, movie nights with her mom's famous homemade popcorn, and book exchanges. We definitely plan to carry on those traditions. Natalie is so kind and easy to befriend, on my Bachelorette you would turn and see her always finding someone new to chat and bond with.
Wedding Party
Sam and I met in high school and instantly bonded through softball, Carrie Underwood, and navigating our queerness together. We even tried dating but quickly realized we are better as friends! Since then, we've gone to many Delta Rae concerts together, celebrated Pride, overlapped at UCLA, and spent countless late nights talking in our cars in front of our houses.
Bridesmaid
Natalia was one of my first friends at the University of San Francisco. We graduated from dancing on the counter of our college bar to more dignified dinner nights or brunches. Our friendship is still strong even after her move to Hawaii; our phone catchups can never be under 3 hours. Natalia always inspires me to push myself to grow which makes her even more incredible to have around.
Wedding Party
One of my oldest friends. She was one of the first people I met when I arrived at Sierra Canyon in 4th grade. She works in the television industry and always knows the hottest gossip. I know I can text our group chat for a summary of the latest pop-culture scandal in media and Zoe will be there with ALL the receipts.
Officiant
A dear friend of both of us. Amali and Shelby met in 4th grade and have remained close ever since. They went through Girl Scouts and UCLA together. Amali has been there for Shelby's highest of highs, and lowest of lows (throwing up on Amali at Dodger Stadium after getting too high on edibles, oops!), and yet she still sticks around. Shelby knew Hannah was the one when Amali approved of her. We knew this Officiant position was made for Amali with her killer sense of humor and charm. We love you, Amali!
