Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please add your food allergy/restriction to the RSVP. The caterer is flexible but will need advanced notice.

Question

Should we rent a car?

Answer

If you are staying in Utah for the weekend, we recommend renting a car. Uber and Lyft are convenient for staying in the city, but in our opinion the best things to do/see are located within 30 min-an hour of the city. Reception can be spotty in the mountains, and trying to call an Uber there can be difficult.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding will be semi-formal. October in Utah can be chilly, and while we will have an indoor area and some gas heaters, we highly recommend bringing outerwear. The majority of the event will be outdoors. We also suggest comfortable shoes for dancing and exploring the views/paths above the dining area.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking at multiple levels at the venue. The venue is only reachable when heading west-bound on I-80, so if coming from Salt Lake City, the navigation will have you make a U-turn. Please note that drinking and driving limits are stricter in Utah.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will likely host a casual welcome drinks event on Thursday, October 8th. We will also have a short hangover hike/picnic on Saturday, October 10th that all are welcome to join. The details of these events will be available over the summer.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved rooms at Springhill Suites by Marriott in Sugarhouse Salt Lake City. See the Travel section for the booking link. The venue is located between Salt Lake City and Park City. SLC has a wider variety of restaurants and hotels, and is 10-15 degrees warmer. Park City has a charming Main Street and mountain resorts with beautiful views. If visiting Park City, we recommend the scenic drive through Big Cottonwood Canyon on 190.
