12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.
Let's meet up and enjoy the festivities of the Iowa State Fair! The fair is open 8AM to Midnight and we encourage everyone to come as early and stay as late as you can to make sure you get the full Fair Experience. The Bride and Groom will be hanging out at the "Blue Ribbon Bar & Eatery" (a brand-new addition to the fairgrounds) starting at 1pm and we invite you to swing by say hello, grab drinks/food, or stay for the live music at 3pm. How do you get tickets? You should be able to get tickets at the gate but we recommend avoiding lines by getting them online at: ticketshttps://www.iowastatefair.org/visit/buy-tickets Where to park? There are loads of parking and bus options around the fair. Hannah’s family has been using the parking at 3501 E Court Ave (Laurel Park) and walked to gate 6 or 7. This parking is the back-end of the Fairgrounds, so you will have to walk a bit once you get in, but there should be less crowds and traffic in that area.
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Attire: Summer Semi-Formal Think barn chic — dress to impress, but be ready for sunshine and a little country charm! • Men: Lightweight suits or dress pants with a button-down shirt; ties optional. • Women: Cocktail dresses, sundresses in dressy fabrics, or a stylish jumpsuit. • Please avoid jeans, shorts, or overly casual wear. Light colors and breathable fabrics are encouraged for the warm weather.
