Hanna came to Buffalo in 2016 after seven years of living in Los Angeles. She found a new home in the form of a 4th floor loft at Five Hundred Seneca, and moved in February. A few months later she had a panic attack in her sleep which hurt her back so badly that it left her unable to move the next morning. A new massage business had just moved into the ground floor of her building, so her husband (at the time! we're not trying to make this complicated) called and made an appointment (we're not sure of your feelings on fate, but we have some thoughts). Although Jeremy’s massage skills enabled her to move again, neither of them liked each other. Hanna is very dedicated to relaxation, though, and made bi-weekly appointments for herself. They eventually began to enjoy talking to each other, and after 3 years of building trust that neither of them were particularly willing to give out, they became friends. They went through separations from their first marriages at the same time, and found it comforting to talk with each other. Eventually, talking became much more relevant and interesting, and massage faded out of the picture. They went on their first official date in July of 2019, where they sat at the bar at Hydraulic Hearth and made up fake stories about the lives of all the people they saw around them. The second date didn't really happen until November or December, but two still-grieving people can only move so fast, you know? The rest of the dates spilled out very quickly after that, though. In fact, they've never stopped.
