Piedmont Triad International Airport

Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) is the most convenient airport, about a 25-30 minute drive from Winston-Salem. It's a small, regional airport, so there are usually better rates flying into Raleigh Durham (RDU) or Charlotte (CLT), but both are about 1.5 hours away.

Exploring Downtown Winston-Salem

We're so excited for you to experience downtown Winston-Salem! It's a vibrant and charming area filled with great restaurants, breweries, art galleries, and local shops. Whether you're strolling through the historic Arts District or grabbing coffee on Trade Street, there's plenty to see and do. That said, like many downtown areas, we recommend staying aware of your surroundings—especially at night. While much of the area is safe and welcoming, there can be a visible homeless population and occasional petty crime. Traveling in groups and sticking to well-lit, busier areas is always a good idea. We want everyone to enjoy their time here and feel comfortable—if you have any questions about where to go (or avoid), don't hesitate to ask!
