The Wedding Website of Alex Hanawalt and Ashley Flores
Typical roundtrips from any major US city are $250-$600 with a layover in Mexico City. Keep in mind that you will have to go through immigration during this layover which can take around 45 minutes when busy. If you’ve never been to Mexico City and have the time, we highly recommend staying a day or two! There are some non-stop flights from Los Angeles and Houston, though only on select days. We recommend making hotel and travel arrangements as soon as possible.

Travel Note

Flight Recommendations

You’ll be flying to OAX (Oaxaca International Airport.) Use www.google.com/flights to easily see your flight and price options. There’s an option to track prices if you’re not ready to book yet (the switch near the top.) Here’s a sample search:

Travel Note

Getting Around

You can walk to all our events and venues in the city center. Taxis are also abundant and safe. We don’t recommend bothering with a rental car. There’s a kiosk at the airport for booking flat-rate taxis to your hotel (Remember to exchange money for pesos at the airport! There’s a few ATMs we usually use.)

We recommend staying within about 6 blocks of the Templo de Santo Domingo. Keep in mind that some creature comforts like water pressure, AC, etc. may not be what you’re used to. .
