Flight
Both John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) are about the same distance from our Hamptons destination, and we recommend flying into one of these. We don’t recommend Newark International Airport for this trip. For the most seamless experience, consider flying with a group, renting a car together, and driving out to Southampton—it’s about a 2-hour drive out there. Having a car for the weekend will make it much easier to join in all the wedding adventures! While Ubers do exist in the Hamptons, they’re often pricier. Pro tip: If you can, try to plan your flight times around NYC rush hour. There’s nothing worse than hopping off the plane ready to celebrate, and getting stuck in gridlock traffic!
Train
While we believe renting a car is the easiest way to get out East, there is also the train! If you fly into JFK specifically, the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) departs from the nearby Jamaica Station, which is only a 15-minute direct ride on the JFK AirTrain from the airport. From Jamaica Station, you can take the LIRR train directly into Southampton. Drew, Han, or Nicole would be happy to string together this schedule for you and/or pick you up from the local train station to get the weekend started.
