FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Casual. It’s an outside affair so I would avoid shoes with narrow heels. Part of the driveway has gravel leading to the grassy area where the ceremony will be held.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Should be relatively nice in the beginning of May with temps probably in the 80s, but who knows with mother nature she could bring in a cold winter breeze or steamy humid day. Either way it will be a beautiful day to celebrate two people becoming one!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The address will be featured on the invitation, but there will also be a sign and balloons to let you know you are in the right place.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at the same location so no traveling in between. The ceremony will be outside down by the lake. For the reception it will be held inside the carriage house.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early. We do not plan on delaying the ceremony unless you are the bride or groom!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, they are! I'm sure they would love to run around and play with the bride's nieces & nephews after the ceremony.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for a few. Guests can head straight to the reception area to grab a beverage or walk around the property and enjoy the lake.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, you may. Just be sure you RSVP for your plus one.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 15th (yes, I know its tax day- so get your money into the IRS and your RSVP to us!). You can RSVP right here on our wedding website!

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are not registered at any stores or online retailers as we already have a house full of stuff. You are gift enough on our special day. However, if you are feeling generous please feel free to make a donation to the Norfolk Animal Care Center or the animal shelter of your choice. Please see the registry section of our website for more information.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be food and beverages. Will update when we have more information.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request are that you wait until the ceremony is over and tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #AisleGoWithRoach so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
