Los Cabos is located between Mar de Cortez and the Pacific Ocean; therefore, there are tons of sea currents, making the beach hard to swim. Most Cabos beaches aren't swimmable. If you are planning on going for an ocean swim, Tequila Cove Beach is a swimmable beach a 10-ish minute beach walk away from Marquis Los Cabos (our resort). It's right in front of Hilton Los Cabos, which is the resort next to Marquis. You can also look for Medano or Palmilla Beach, the two most popular beaches for swimming.
The Art District of San Jose del Cabo is one of the town’s most beautiful attractions. It’s one of the liveliest areas in town, lined with boutiques, art galleries, and shops, and it features a bustling main square (Plaza Mijares) frequented by street performers and food trucks. Art Walk: If you're in town on Thursday before our wedding, the Art District closes streets to cars and creates a big art walk. Sip wine, browse local art, and try a restaurant or brewery in town!
Cabo San Lucas is another town located about 18 miles from San Jose del Cabo. It's a bit more touristy and it’s home to various nightclubs. It offers a great number of beach activities and attractions in town.
Acre is a resort but also a restaurant and even better, an animal sanctuary! They have rescue puppies (that are up for adoption) and goats that you can pet on the property. Kelly & Phil will most likely be bringing a dog home after the wedding 😆
One of the best restaurants in downtown San Jose del Cabo. They offer regionally sourced seafood, locally raised animals, and organic-produced vegetables paired with a fine wine selection, as well as amazing agave spirits like mezcal, and tequila.
Cabos is one of the best Mexican Riviera ports to go whale watching. During the winter months (between December and April), visitors can see humpback whales, gray whales, dolphins, and sea lions in the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. We might be a little too early in December to see any whales but it's a possibility!
There are tons of snorkeling boat tours and spots on local beaches where you can rent snorkeling gear!
Also known as Land's End, El Arco is a popular tourist attraction and the central focus of countless Instagram photos. Land's End is undoubtedly one of the most popular places to visit in Cabo San Lucas. Getting there is easy and you can view the iconic golden arch from your boat or be dropped off at Lovers Beach nearby.
Los Cabos has 18 courses currently open!
