QUESTIONS?

Please see below for some common questions we are getting! If you have any more, please do not hesitate to reach out to the future bride and groom! Kelly: 215-896-1836 Phil: 215-429-9114
Question

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Answer

Bring plenty of swimwear and cover-ups so you can easily transition from the pool or beach to a restaurant. During the day, sundresses, shorts, and shirts with breathable fabric are great to wear. Bring something a little bit nicer to wear to dinners! Don't forget to pack your sunscreen and sunglasses!

Question

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?

Answer

For the big day, we will ask that you step it up a notch and wear something more formal (but still fun since we're in Mexico)! Ladies - a cocktail dress or a dressy skirt and top will be perfect! An elegant pantsuit is also appropriate. Cocktail hour will be on grass, so consider that when planning shoes (block heel is recommended). The bridesmaids will be in different shades of green, but feel free to wear fun & funky colors! Guys - we recommend a linen suit or dress pants & a button-up shirt- a jacket & tie are optional!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

You bet! Check to see if your passport is VALID and not EXPIRED :) You will need it to arrive in Mexico. We recommend applying for one or updating your passport ASAP.

Question

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE AND DEPART?

Answer

This is TOTALLY up to you! We want this to be a vacation for you as well. Our discounted room block is available from 11/27-12/06, so you can stay as long as you want! There will be wedding-related events on 12/01 Friday PM (rehearsal/welcome party), and 12/02 Saturday PM (wedding). Sunday 12/03 we plan to hang by the pool all day with those staying at the resort! Kelly and Phil will be arriving Wednesday and departing Tuesday.

Question

WHERE SHOULD WE STAY?

Answer

We would love it if you stayed with us at Marquis Los Cabos- an all-inclusive resort! We figured it would be fun to have everyone stay at a resort together and make it easier for you all in the planning process. We understand all-inclusive resorts aren't for everyone, so feel free to stay elsewhere if wanted. ***please note that if you decide to stay at a different resort, you will have to pay for a “day pass” (around $200) if you would like to come to Marquis for any wedding-related festivities.

Question

What’s an all-inclusive resort?

Answer

We know the price-tag is higher for an all-inclusive hotel, but that is because your food and drinks are included in the price! Once you arrive at Marquis, you won’t need to pay for food, alcohol, or room service!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your kids, we are staying at an adults-only resort and there will be no children at the wedding. We want you to come and have a relaxing weekend with us!

Question

can i bring a plus one?

Answer

One of the main reasons we are having a destination wedding is to have an intimate weekend with the people who mean the most to us, so we put a lot of time and energy into our guest list. Your invitations will be addressed to those who are invited.

Question

Cabo San Lucas vs San Jose del Cabo? I'm confused...

Answer

Los Cabos includes the entire southern tip of Baja California and is made up of two towns: San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. San Jose del Cabo is considered the more historic part of the area with cathedrals, city squares, and smaller resorts. Cabo San Lucas is the more tourist-driven part of the area with tons of large resorts, golf courses, and the city marina.
