We have decided not to have kids at the Ceremony and reception, (Our exceptions are for the groom's niece Margaret and the bride's nephew Hudson and babies in arms). All kids are welcome to events the day before and day after. We will help figure out child care, let us know if you want in on that!
If the need is there, we can help find a babysitter that could hang with kiddos at one of the houses down the beach from the wedding. Let us know if you want in on this!
VERY limited parking on site at the wedding address. The spots are reserved for folks with limited mobility and vendors/band etc. You will be parking at the neighbors. The property is just off of a 45 mph state highway and there is no shoulder for parking and we prefer nobody walk on the main road. But alas, a neighbor just down the beach has offered up their undeveloped lot that can fit most of the cars! We will assign you a place to park before the wedding day and have signs and balloons on the road to clearly mark which driveway to go down. From there it is just a short walk on the beach to the wedding site.
YOUR OWN CUP! bring a cup that you can hold your wine Friday night, have a cocktail or mocktail in during the wedding, or have some coffee in the day after. Ideal cups would be insulated and have a top, but try to avoid glass please. This will cut down on waste and spills and help people keep track of their own drinkies.
DRESSY CASUAL is the attire: "A balance between formal and relaxed styles." For Women: Midi Dresses, sundresses, or even well-chosen jumpsuits can be appropriate. For Men: Dress pants, linen or khaki also fine, nice button down Collared shirt in solid or subtle pattern is a safe bet. Blazer or sport coats welcome, but not required and you might be hot. Lightweight suits okay (linen or cotton). Contact Rachel with specific attire and shoe questions, I'm happy to discuss! I can even send you photos of the beach stones or whatever you need! Wear what makes you feel good, look at the weather, and be ready to dance. Ceremony will be on a rocky beach and there's some uneven terrain in the reception area with some gravel or patchy grass and pine needles under some huge Doug fir trees, take this into consideration with footwear.
Ceremony will be on a rocky beach and there's some uneven terrain in the reception area with gravel, as well as pine needles and patchy grass under some huge Doug fir trees, and metal grate stairs as one of the ways down to the beach, please take this into consideration with footwear. Heals will be very tough at this event and kind of unsafe! You could probably get away with some short wedges, but very tall or narrow wedges will also be very difficult to walk in around the property. Rachel is going to try to wear some short wedges for the ceremony, but might change into flat strappy sandals for the evening. Please reach out to Rachel with specific attire and shoe questions, I'm happy to discuss! I can even send you photos of the beach stones or whatever you need!
No! If you don't see anything that moves you on our registry page, we also like things that are hand made or home made, edible, drinkable or art/photography as gifts! Outdoor furniture could be great too!

YES! We have chosen to have multiple events , and a wedding at a home that’s not actually a wedding venue, doing our own flowers and have a budget so we would love your help if you can. Here are some examples: We will have chairs and tables to set up, lights and bunting to hang ideally early on Thursday or Friday. We need help picking up some food we’ve ordered Saturday and Sunday mornings and some help moving things around/setting up Saturday morning. After the ceremony the chairs will all need to be moved from the beach up into the yard. If you feel like you’d like to lend a hand, please let us know we’d love to delegate tasks ahead of the event.
