Question
Will there be cell phone reception at the venue?
Answer
Not really. The ceremony and reception will be outside in a very pretty but remote area of the Appalachian foothills. AT&T does not work. Other cell phone providers may have more success. WiFi will be available up the hill in Emily’s mom’s house, and we’re working on expanding access so it will reach the tent as well.

Where will the wedding and reception be held?

Both the wedding and reception will be held at Emily's mother's property at 199 Tabitha Drive in Jasper, Georgia. The ceremony will be held outside down by the small lake. The reception will be held in a tent tucked into a wooded area. Emily's mom, Susan Anthony, is in the process of transforming the property into a vineyard and wedding venue. Are children invited?

Kids are only invited if they are named when you RSVP on our website. We would like to limit the amount of children at the wedding.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception. Block heels, wedges or flats so you can walk in the grass.

Why are the hotel blocks in Canton and not Jasper?
Answer
Jasper, Georgia is a relatively small city with limited lodging. The hotel options in Jasper are also about a 20-minute drive from the venue. Canton, Georgia has many more hotel options and is about a 25-minute drive from the venue. It's also closer to the Atlanta airport.

How should I get to the venue?
Answer
We have shuttles from the hotel block to the venue for the start of the ceremony, and from the venue to the hotel blocks after the reception. The shuttle times after the reception will be late, so if you would like the freedom to leave earlier please arrange to have a rental car. The three hotel blocks are right next to each other — spread across just two buildings. The Marriott options are in the same building, and the Holiday Inn is across the street.

Does the venue have parking?
Answer
Yes. Emily's mom is in the process of turning her property into a vineyard and wedding venue, so there is parking available on-site for up to 40 vehicles. We think that should be enough to accommodate everyone who will want to drive, but please carpool if can to make sure!

Can I use Uber/Lyft to get around this area?
Answer
Maybe. Uber and Lyfts are very reliable from the Atlanta Airport to north Georgia. So you should be able to get an Uber from the airport to the hotel blocks in Canton, about an hour north. There are Uber and Lyfts available to order in north Georgia, but they are less reliable, especially late at night. Ubering to the venue during the day might work, but we wouldn't count on it after the reception. We are working on finalizing shuttle(s) to and from the venue.
