Dylan and Christina met in February 2021 during the "outdoor dining" stage of the pandemic at a bar in Burbank, the Tinhorn Saloon. The patio was packed & there wasn't a server in sight. With nerves high & patience low, Christina cut into their conversation about their cats to announce "I'm going to get us some f****g beers!" Dylan will later say this was the moment he knew she was special. Soon after, Dylan invited Christina over for a BBQ with his roommates and friends. Upon arriving, Christina noticed that the TV was turned to the Spotify app & her favorite band, the OSees, was on, which had somehow never come up in all of their previous conversations. This is when Christina knew Dylan was special. They continued to spend time listening to records and trying every pizza place in town (and ranking them on a spreadsheet), but it was really the linguine & clams that Christina made for Dylan on one of their early dates that locked him in. In late March 2021, Christina & Dylan, eager for adventure, took an overnight trip to Las Vegas together. They hiked in Red Rocks & Dylan noticed Christina poking and examining every cactus. Christina relied on him to help her down from climbing rocks because she can go up, but is afraid to come down. At their hotel, their main objective was to build a fort. They brought yarn & chords, thumb tacks, & sheets, but both quickly realized almost simultaneously that the couch at the end of the bed had to be turned on it's side to serve as a "tent pole" of sorts. This silent consensus of silliness solidified that they were really on the same page. They ended their trip at the Taco Bell Cantina the next day. Within 24 hours of returning home, while they were poorly singing along to Avenged Sevenfold in Dylan's living room, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Since then, Dylan and Christina have shared their love of travel, music, food, nerding out over outer space, and their cats, Buddy & Luna. Its rare that they're in the same room together and not laughing, especially because Dylan takes every opportunity to make fun of every single thing Christina does or says. They have spent the last 3+ years going on epic adventures & planning a future that they hope includes owning a home in Joshua Tree & winning the lottery. On September 14th, 2024, Dylan and Christina spent the day exploring some of the less-traveled areas of Joshua Tree National Park. Back at their Airbnb, after taking Polaroids at sunset, Dylan popped a bottle of Prosecco, a container of confetti, and the big question. They're thrilled to embark on this new adventure & continue to build the life of their dreams together.
