We know you’ll be traveling a ways to see us, and it’s a big lift. Please know we completely understand if you aren’t able to make the trip. But if you do choose — or are able — to join us, we cannot wait to celebrate our big day with you.

Getting to the crystal coast

There isn’t a true nonstop flight option into Beaufort, but the good news is the drive is easy — and often a really enjoyable way to take in the coast if it’s your first time here. We’ve listed a few airport options below with approximate distances to help narrow things down. We highly recommend renting a car, whether you’re traveling solo or with a group. Having your own wheels means no surprise Uber fees, plus the freedom to explore at your own pace. It’s the best way to make the most of your time on the Crystal Coast!

Local Airport Options

Airport Option 1: Coastal Carolina Regional - New Bern (EWN) The closest commercial airport to both of our venues (50-60 minute drive)! Typically includes 1 stop via Charlotte (AA). Often the most convenient to fly from if you value time & easy logistics more than saving $. Airport Option 2: Albert J Ellis - Jacksonville (OAJ) Small, straight-forward airport. Often includes one stop in CLT/ATL. Also around a ~1 hour drive. Airport Option 3: Wilmington International (ILM) Bigger flight matrix vs. EWN/OA; easy highway drive and small airport. If you prefer nonstop options and don't mind a drive, I highly recommend this option. The drive is around 2-hours (goes by really fast) but well worth it and helps you avoid any headaches with connecting flights and airports. Often the most budget-friendly option, too. Airport Option 4: Raleigh-Durham International (RDU) Often the best "deal" from MSP, but has the longest drive (approximately ~2.45 hours). Usually has multiple daily nonstop flights available, especially through Delta.

Travel Note

staying in the crystal coast - hotels

We have reserved room blocks at three of our favorite spots: Hotel Alice (about 5 minutes from our wedding venue) Beaufort Hotel (host of our welcome party the night before) and Compass Hotel Beaufort (around five minutes from Beaufort Hotel)! All three hotels are undeniably beautiful and available at a discounted rate for our guests. While there are plenty of other hotels and rentals in the area, these three will also serve as shuttle drop-off points after the reception, so they’re especially convenient if you’re thinking about transportation.

Travel Note

staying in the crystal coast - vacation rentals

If you’re traveling with family, planning to vacation a little longer, or coming as a group, a rental home can be the perfect option. September is one of the best times to visit the Crystal Coast — warm weather, fewer crowds, and plenty to explore! For convenience to our venues, we recommend looking throughout Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, and Pine Knoll Shores. There are plenty of Airbnbs, Vrbos, and local real estate listings to choose from — whether you want a cozy cottage or a big beach house. Feel free to text Emilee if you want to double-check your location.
