Travel Note
The main airport to fly into in Tuscany is Pisa International. From there, there's a few options - you can choose to rent a car, use the public transport (trains), or organise a direct transfer to your accommodation. All options are detailed below.
Rental Car
Hiring a car is the best way to explore Tuscany and we'd suggest using Pisa Airport's list of rental cars when booking your car hire. Make sure to book in advance for the best rate! We've used Italy Car Rent previously and would definitely recommend.
Train
The closest town to our venue is Volterra or San Gimignano. It is possible to reach Volterra & San Gimignano by public transport, though it takes a bit longer and requires a few changes. Volterra: Take the PisaMover shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale train station (5 minutes). From Pisa Centrale, take a train to Pontedera-Casciana Terme (about 20–25 minutes). From Pontedera, take Bus 500 towards Volterra (around 1 hour 20 minutes).
