Our Venue

We are excited to celebrate with you at the Brazilian Room, nestled in the rolling hills of Tilden Regional Park.
The story of our venue begins at the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition, which was held on Treasure Island in the middle of the San Francisco Bay, to commemorate the completion of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. Fairgoers were treated to hundreds of exhibits from across the country and around the world, showcasing art, technology, and architecture.
The Brazilian Room derives its name from its rich hardwood paneling (Jacaranda, Imbuya, Brazilian Chestnut and Mahogany) that was once part of the Brazilian Pavilion at the Exhibition, which showcased the commerce and culture of the country of Brazil. When the exposition ended, the Brazil Building was presented to the newly-formed East Bay Regional Park District as a gift of friendship from the Brazilian government.
