Question

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

Only children that were already planned on the invites are invited to the wedding. This is because we have a restrictive headcount that we have to remain under with our venue. If you have children that were not included on your invites, please first reach out to Christina or Randall to let us know, so we can check and see if there is room for them! We'd definitely love to have everyone we know and love, but we also have a budget and venue limitations that we must be mindful of.

Can I invite a plus one?

Answer

Please only stick to the people listed on your invitations. If your invitation did not include a plus one, please do not invite a plus one to the event. You may reach out to Christina or Randall if you have any questions regarding this, or need to know about special exceptions (in the event you feel as though someone may have been accidentally missed in the invitations). We have done our best to try to accomodate a Plus One only for individuals who would have otherwise been invited completely alone to the event.

What is the dress code for the event?

Answer

The dress code for the event is semi-formal attire. Our theme for our wedding is monochrome black-and-white. Guests are simply asked to dress in semi-formal attire if they are able to. Guests who wish to dress according to our wedding theme are encouraged to dress in monochrome colors other than white.

When do I have to RSVP by?

Answer

Please let Christina or Randall Hall know as soon as you're sure that you can or cannot make it! We will need to know by August 1st 2022, so that we can have an accurate headcount!

What should I get you for your wedding gift?

Answer

We have a registry already attached to this website! Please use the menu options and select "Registry" to see the different items that we have on our registry. Anything that is on our registry would be appreciated by both of us, and thank you for thinking of us!

Can I get you something that isn’t on your wedding registry?

Answer

We're a "thought that counts" couple, so we will still appreciate the gifts you bring, even if they're not one of the items on our registry. You can even just get us a gift card, if you would prefer to do that instead!

Can I request a song?

Answer

We have a few songs handpicked for the occasion and have very specific songs listed under a "Do Not Play" list. Our DJs are extremely talented and we've done our best to ensure that we've sourced the best help for what we can afford for our event. They do take song requests! We only ask that if they insist that they cannot play a specific song for any reason whatsoever, we all learn to respect that request with dignity and grace.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather tends to be in the upper 88° F (31° C) and the lower 73° F (22° C) for September. It averages around 9 days of rain, but in the past 2 years it hasn't normally rained on the week of the 24th. There's usually a 54% chance of a cloudy overcast for September. There can be rather humid and windy days within the month of September.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors at the same venue as the Reception on the back patio overlooking the Halifax River. The reception will be indoors inside of their Banquet Room with a dance floor in the center of the room and the tables stationed around the dance floor.

Will the ceremony and reception be at different places?

Answer

The ceremony and the Reception will occur at the same place! The ceremony will be held outdoors on the venue's patio and the Reception will follow indoors within their Banquet Hall.

What should I do if I cannot make the wedding?

Answer

We will miss you dearly at our event! Please let us know as soon as you're sure that you cannot make it and RSPV "no" for us so that we're aware.

Where should I park? Is parking free?

Answer

The venue offers plenty of free parking spaces in front and in parking lots adjacent to the venue! There should be plenty of room for everyone to find a spot where they can park.

Can I take photos of the wedding and post on Social Media?

Answer

Please be sure to tag both Randall Hall and myself in any photos that you take. Our wedding hashtag is #mr&mxhall . Also, be mindful of the photographer and do not get in their way. We would prefer that you do not take any photos of the ceremony and/or reception while the photographer is around, so that they can have a clear path for their photos.

What is the wedding theme? What are the wedding colors?

Answer

The wedding theme is monochrome. It is "gothic inspired" elegance. The wedding colors are black and white. The wedding party will be dressed in white attire, and we ask guests to avoid wearing white. Guests that are looking for specific colors to wear for the wedding theme may consider other monochrome colors, such as black or grays.
