Question

What COVID-19 precautions are we taking?

Answer

We have guests who are immunocompromised and in other high-risk groups, so we are taking these precautions very seriously and we need you to too. *If you are feeling sick or running a fever, please stay home. No hard feelings for missing the festivities* 1. We have arranged with our caterer to have all food individually portioned and served. We ask that you not share food with anyone you don't live with! 2. We will be outside for the duration of the ceremony and reception. If you are close to other guests, we ask that you wear a mask. We will be giving out (very cute) cloth face masks as wedding favors! 3. Please hug or be in contact with people only if you are comfortable! We will not be offended if you don't want to hug us!

Question

What do I need to know about getting around comfortably at the venue?

Answer

1. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and includes an accessible Porta Potty. If you have any specific concerns about mobility at the venue, please let us know! 2. There are three all-gender Porta Potties very close to the gazebo and other public bathrooms at the park's vistor's center a short walk away. 3. The venue is mostly grass and sand. Please don't wear heels! 4. We will be right on the water. The water is safe for swimming. If the weather allows and it's your truth, feel free to bring a swimsuit and jump in!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

PLEASE let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions! We have to talk to the caterer about the long list of foods Haley can't eat anyway!

Question

This is my first gay wedding. Is there anything special I need to know?

Answer

If you're invited, it's because we trust that you'll help make our wedding a welcoming and fun environment for everyone. We will uphold our values of anti-racism, feminism, trans inclusion, and accessibility at our wedding and we trust all of you to do the same! We also have many trans and non-binary friends! We ask that you don't assume the identities of people you don't know yet. Many of our non-binary friends use they/them pronouns. If you need a refresher on using these, there are several online resources including this one: https://www.mypronouns.org/they-them

Question

Who took the engagement photos on your website?

Answer

Laura Schedit of Exclamation Imagery! It's important to us that we work with people who share our values. Laura feels the same way and approaches photograpy with authenticity. She'll be photographing our wedding too. You can check out her wonderful work here: https://www.exclamationimagery.com/
