Man of Honor
Daniel and Haley met in 2010 at ORU and it's not a cute story because they never dreamed they would be living this life in 2019. From going out, to coming out, to moving in together (wait, whose wedding is this again?) Daniel is a rock of support. He is funny in the best ways, soothing in the best ways, a whiz with an instant pot, and he takes his MOH duties very seriously. But most importantly, he will cry more than Sam when Haley walks down the aisle.
Best Man
Tane has been by Sam's side for many years and Sam is grateful to him for millions of things. Namely, the courage to step from the shadows and lively authentically as himself. Tane and Sam met in college, and after some great, boozy, and tumultuous years came back together in 2015 and have been Beyonce's biggest fans ever since. When Tane is in town from Boston, you can find him and Sam laughing, playing video games, or glued to YouTube obsessing over vocalists.
Bridesmaid
Lexie and Haley met over coffee at Starbucks in 2012- Lexie was the first person Haley ever knew to make someone a playlist the DAY AFTER they met for the FIRST TIME. But Haley is a sucker for gifts of affection. Lexie has been the deepest well of friendship for Haley, consistently being a voice of wholeness and insight. Lexie embodies healing in everything she does, and she makes a delicious vegan breakfast taco.
Groomsman
Avery and Sam, while only having met through Haley a few years ago, bonded quickly and have been brothers ever since. On any given day you can find them struggling make plans to see each other, or find them planted for hours at Fur Shop talking about Harry Potter or the complexities of race and gender in this strange society.
Bridesmaid
Jordan and Haley met after being mutually 'outed' at work as Queer femme's who "would just love each other" and ugh @ them for being RIGHT. They overshared their life stories over extremely boozy punch the first night they ever hung out and have been bonded ever since. Jordan is the smartest human you will ever meet. Seriously. Like the jury's out on if she is from another planet. She is also the most intentional friend. Boozy tiki drinks forever to thank for this gal-pal.
Groomsmate
Jess - Sam's 90's/2000's christian music companion. Jess is a deep well of insight and empathy. Sam and Jess are always found sitting across the table, having our own conversations or ever so slightly making faces as our partners talk about femme fashion and makeup tutorials. Jess is the best.
Bridesmaid
Millie is one of four Gay Sex and the City (GSATC) Gals, which is our dance crew that was formed over the incredible concept of Sex and the City but for queer femme's in Tulsa. Yes, we are available for hire at your child's Bar Mitzvah. Millie is a well of reason, femme fashion, and overwhelming body positivity. She makes delicious recipe's, has a cute cat who tbh deserves her own honorable mention on this very website (here's to you, Squinna), and is always, always there for support and encouragement.
Groomswoman
Taylor Self - a picturesque friend. Sam and Taylor met at bible study, and through the journey and self-discovery of piecing apart their faith and putting it back together, forged a life-long bond. Taylor is incredibly kind. Everyone who comes across her is elevated. She also is the life of the party. No, seriously. Like watch out on the dance floor she's not here to play games.
Bridesmaid
Olivia and Haley met by chance at a bonfire neither of them really liked being at. After a night of chatting they realized they had to hang out again! Olivia introduced Haley to Millie and Jennie, the other GS&TC gals (still available for your child’s bar mitzvah) and they were a huge part of Haley's motivation to let Sam into her life. Olivia is so creative, is a lover of flowers, her girlfriend Allie, and nourishing food. Olivia will help you be excited about things in your own life which is NEXT LEVEL encouragement.
Groomswoman
Miranda and Sam are the golden children of Enterprise Car Sales. At least that's what we think. Miranda was the first person that Sam shared with about his crush on Haley. Miranda is a champion friend, kind and supportive and always ready to have a great time.
Bridesmaid
Jennie, the last of the GSATC gals, is a beam of light. She and Haley connected over their spiritual journeys, love of skincare routines, and wellness literature. Jennie is the mother of Dexter, a small dog with big aspirations of carrying a bone larger than his whole body around the house. Jennie brings a special talent to the big day, which is to guide you on the perfect lipstick for your outfit.
Groomsman
Ben has been a lifeline for Sam in times of doubt and uncertainty, always holding a light in the darkness for Sam to find. Sam is really thankful for Ben and his friendship.
Bridesmaid
Mom to Marlow, wife to Garrett, true fan of Beyonce. Lauren and Haley met through the dating app, Rover. I'm sure you've heard of it. Haley was hired to babysit Lauren's dog children and in the process Haley won over the hearts of all in the household. Lauren is a breath of fresh air when it comes to friendship, she is full of spunk, says it like it is, and uses her paramedic career skills to examine Haley's many bruises and remind her she just needs to calm down and take an ibuprofen.
Groomsmate
Mo and Sam have known each other for many, MANY years. All the way back into their awkward middle school phases. Their lives have an almost identical trajectory. They crashed back into each other in 2016 and haven't looked back. Mo has the most tender heart and open ear, always challenging Sam to think differently and make hard choices. Mo is an irreplaceable friend and Sam is so grateful for their friendship.
Best Dog
Drake is our love-child that eats all of our things. He is 80 pounds of pure cuddle and terror. He's simultaneously the best and worst decision we ever made and we can't imagine our lives without him. He's probably not invited to the wedding, though.
