Where will the wedding be?

Answer

We are holding the wedding at Occidental at Xcaret Destination in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This is an all-inclusive resort. The wedding ceremony will be on Saturday, October 29th 2022 with a cocktail hour and a reception to directly follow.

Are we having another reception at home?

Answer

No, unfortunately we have decided to have a destination wedding and to not hold back! But we are throwing an engagement party here in Seattle 2/14/22.

Question

What if I don't want to stay at the resort where the wedding will be held?

Answer

We understand that the resort we are staying at is higher end and may be a bit more expensive. If you want to book somewhere cheaper near by and get transportation day of that's no worries! Just let us know so we can book day passes (limited) for the resort for the wedding and get them paid for in advance.

How much will it cost to go to Mexico for the wedding?

Question

How far is the resort from the Cancun Airport and how can we get transportation there?

Answer

Occidental at Xcaret is a 45 minute drive from Cancun International Airport. There are multiple transportation companies available to book one way or round trip. We used Cancun Airport Transportation and they were great! Also email Haley and Kate at thebarks1122@gmail.com with flights details and we can see if you can carpool with anyone else in the wedding party.

Do we have discounted airline tickets for the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately we do not get flight benefits for everyone. But we do have a few "Buddy Passes" that can be cheaper than flying confirmed. Please keep in mind that these are Standby tickets and are not confirmed tickets.
