Jonathan and I have known each other since the '90s! He’s two years older than I am, but thanks to our brothers, we grew up knowing each other. Our brothers went to elementary school together, and our moms would arrive early for pickup so they could chat and hang out in each other’s cars while waiting for the boys to get out of school. They also played sports together; Jonathan’s dad was their football coach, and Jonathan even helped him coach our brothers one year. Jonathan and I attended middle and high school together, where he played football and I was a cheerleader—little did we know we’d all become family one day! Fast forward many years after high school: I was walking my dog, Lemon, around the neighborhood when one of my neighbors came up to reintroduce himself—that neighbor was Jonathan! We chatted, caught up, and he got my number on the spot. After a few neighborhood walks together with Lemon, Jonathan asked me out on our first official date! We dated for a year and a half before Jonathan surprised me with a trip to the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC, where he proposed on September 21, 2024! Nearly a year later, we will become husband and wife in our hometown of Nashville, TN, on September 20, 2025! We sincerely thank all our family and friends for their love and support, and we cannot wait to celebrate our love story with everyone!
