While I was working as a traveling nurse, I was renting from Chance's Aunt, Angie— and little did I know, she had more than just a guest room waiting for me. She saw something we hadn’t yet, and one day, she suggested I meet her nephew. One ice fishing date later, and the spark was real. Out on the frozen lake, running on coffee and little sleep, something just clicked. I had worked the night before but that wasn't going to stop our first date. Chance brought fresh brewed coffee, snacks, and blankets. I was beyond excited to catch a Pygmy my first time ice fishing. The butterfly’s and nerves went away quickly. It felt like we had known each other our whole lives. From that day on, we kept finding more to love about each other. Whether it was hiking new mountains, fishing cold lakes, or traveling to new places, I knew in just a few months that he was the one. So, I quit travel nursing and made Montana my new home. Together, we've hiked hundreds of miles, hunted many mountains, fished in icy lakes, traveled thousands of miles, and floated down Montana's rivers. Every adventure brought us closer — and every challenge proved we were better as a team. Chance has introduced me to so many new things that we can now share together. Then, on a road trip along the Oregon Coast, Chance decided it was time for a grand gesture. As the sun set on Driftwood Beach, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Through mountains of tears, I said yes! Now, we’re getting ready to start our greatest adventure yet — marriage. We’re so excited to celebrate this love story with all the people who helped us write it.
