Question

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

Formal attire in deep jewel tones (i.e. ruby, dark purple, emerald green, raspberry, sapphire blue, etc.) is encouraged. You will be on sand, so choose your shoes accordingly (the sand is compact so low wedges or block heels should work fine). Question

When should I book my hotel?

Answer

Due to the popularity of this hotel, it typically sells out 6-8 months in advance and we want to ensure all of our guests that would like to attend are able to secure a room, so the sooner you put down the $200 deposit, the better (and very much appreciated)! The booking form is located on the "Travel and Accommodations" tab.

Question

Do I need a passport to enter Mexico?

Answer

Yes, Mexico is an international destination. A valid passport is required at the time of entry. Please check your passport early to ensure it is not set to expire before your trip. If so, get started on your passport renewal ASAP! Wait times are currently up to 16 weeks for routine renewals and up to 12 weeks for expedited renewals.

Question

How long should I stay at Hotel Xcaret?

Answer

To enjoy all the wedding events, we suggest landing at the Cancun International Airport no later than Noon on Saturday, April 6th. In order to be included in our room block for access to all wedding activities, a minimum of 3 nights is required for each guest, April 06 - 09, 2024. However, you are encouraged to stay additional nights between April 04 and April 11, 2024 in order to enjoy all the resort has to offer! You can utilize the cheaper hotels (~$100) near the Cancun airport in order to have a better/cheaper flight schedule! The brides will be flying into Mexico Friday, April 5th and staying at an airport hotel, then transferring to Hotel Xcaret Mexico Saturday, April 6th and staying through Thursday, April 11th.

Question

Can I bring additional guests? Are children allowed at the wedding and reception?

Answer

We hope that you understand that the wedding ceremony & reception are private, exclusive to those listed on your invitation. However, you are more than welcome to bring additional guests on vacation with you! This vacation is not only about us, but it is also about our guests; we want you to enjoy yourselves to the fullest!

Question

Can I make a payment plan?

Answer

Yes! A $200/room deposit is needed at the time of booking to secure your room. The link to reserve your room is on the "Travel and Accommodations" tab. Any remaining balance is due by February 2, 2024, but you may make payments leading up to this date via our travel agency, Hola Weddings. For booking or payment plan questions, email hola@holaweddings.com or call 1-888-472-7077 and mention either of the brides' names.

Question

What if I need help finding a roommate?

Answer

We will likely have a number of guests looking to room with others to save on cost. Please let Haley or Alisha know if you need help finding a roommate (or 2, as up to 3 adults are allowed per room)!

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

Appetizers will be served during cocktail hour and a three-course plated meal will be served for dinner during the reception. Please ensure you answer the special diet, allergies, and restrictions questions on the RSVP form if they apply to you. Alternative meal options and separate preparation will be provided for those with special diets and allergies.

Question

Can I start booking restaurant, park, and tour reservations with the resort?

Answer

A select few parks and restaurants require reservations. Hotel Xcaret Mexico takes reservations no more than 30 days before your date of arrival. Reservations can be made by emailing dxguestservice@hotelxcaret.com. Check the "Parks and Dining" tab to see which parks and restaurants require prior reservations.

Question

What should I pack for the parks and tours?

Answer

Tip: Pack lots and lots of swimsuits and trunks! Every park and tour included in the All-Fun Inclusive program has water activities, with the exception of Xoximilco, the Mexican Floating Fiesta. The resort also has multiple pools, a river, and beach access. Swimwear is essential for your stay. Tip: Bring water shoes! We can't overstate how important this is! Having water shoes for the parks and Xenotes tour makes your visit much more convenient given the number and variety of water activities. Snorkel fins will be provided by the parks for snorkeling activities. Tip: Bring a snorkel mask if you have trouble with snorkel tubes. Parks will provide traditional snorkel tubes. Snorkel masks, which can be found on Amazon, cover your entire face and allow you to breathe through your nose instead of your mouth as you do with the traditional snorkel tube attached to goggles. There are amazing snorkeling opportunities at Xel-Ha and Xcaret parks! Tip: Bring large ziploc bags for changing out of wet clothes at parks. If you don't want to return to the resort in your wet clothes, bring a bunch of large ziploc bags to use as wet bags when you change at the parks. Tip: Bring coral reef safe sunblock. Xcaret is an eco-friendly resort and requires coral reef safe sunblock at the hotel and all theme parks.

Question

Will there be another way to celebrate you if I cannot travel to Mexico?

Answer

Yes! The brides plan to host a "Happily Ever After Party" in Tucson, Arizona on April 20, 2024. Details to come.
