We cannot wait to dance the night away with you!

Alex and I love our story because it doesn't just involve us! We had a few people trying to connect us in 2017... but we blocked it out. We were shown pictures of each other and were constantly encouraged to meet but never pursued the idea. Our lives were busy and we weren't looking for a relationship. (funny how God works) On April 22nd of 2017, Camp Manitoqua held a Work Day where they invite volunteers to help prepare for summer. Alex and I both had connections there so here are our stories from that day: Haley's Side: My best friend, Joy Lavens, worked at Camp so I organized a group of college students to come serve for the day. I remember walking up and Alex Bennett was the first person I saw. Joy caught me and I explained that I had to introduce myself to get the awkwardness out of the way assuming he had seen me. I did just that shaking his hand introducing myself. I explained that we have some mutual friends and it was nice to meet him finally. It was a super short interaction but I remember walking away thinking that he is a lot more attractive in person. ;) Alex's Side: I had just gotten to Camp and was talking with some good friends. While I was talking, some girl just walked up and introduced herself to only me. She talked about some mutual friends we have and I was just so caught off guard because I didn't see her coming. As she walked away, my friends began questioning me. Haley had a confidence that I have never seen in a girl and I immediately knew that I wanted to get to know her. A few months later (6 months to be exact) Alex finally worked up the nerve to ask me out over good ole Facebook messenger. I was waiting for this to happen so I said YES. We met for coffee on October 20th at 7PM and stayed for hours talking until Starbucks kicked us out. There was immediate connection and sparks flew. ;) Alex had the next date planned before we left that night and we have been going on dates since!
