Question

Special Note

Answer

We request that guests kindly refrain from wearing perfume or strongly scented products to our wedding celebration. Some of our loved ones have sensitivities to fragrances, and we want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the day to the fullest. Thank you for understanding and helping us create a welcoming environment for all!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive at the church by 3:00pm to allow time to park, visit, and find a seat before the ceremony begins at 3:30pm.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For the ceremony: There is a large, covered, free parking garage on the same block as the church. The entrance to the garage is on K Street, between 17th & 18th. There will be signs directing people to the parking garage and a sign noting what time the garage will be closed (6:00pm). Metered street parking is also available in the area surrounding the church. Please do NOT park in the parking lot next to the church. For the reception: Metered street parking will be available near the venue. Paid parking garages can also be found at H Street and 14th (Memorial Garage) and at I Street and 13th (Sheraton Garage).

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be semi-formal/cocktail attire. Keep in mind that the event will take place in mid-July, so it will be quite warm outside. However, the ceremony and majority of the reception will be held indoors, where it will be cool and comfortable. We invite you to dress stylishly yet comfortably—think elegant dresses or suits, but no need for black tie attire. We want everyone to feel relaxed and enjoy the celebration!

Question

What will we be eating and drinking?

Answer

There will be appetizers and cocktails to start the evening, followed by a buffet-style dinner. The buffet will feature a selection of fresh salads and your choice of rosemary garlic herb chicken or roast beef braised in red wine with creamed horseradish. Sides will include garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. A full-service bar will be available throughout the reception, offering well liquors, champagne, beer, wine, soda, and a variety of juices. Both entrée options and the mashed potatoes are gluten-free, and the kitchen takes great care to prevent cross-contamination. If you have any dietary restrictions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Haley or Jake!

Question

Can I bring my children or a plus one?

Answer

As much as we wish we could accommodate everyone, we kindly ask that you refer to your invitation due to our venue's capacity. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

What if I find out I can't make it after RSVP'ing "Yes"?

Answer

You will be so missed! So we can relay the updated guest count to our venue, please let Haley or Jake know as soon as possible.
