See Tweetsie and visit the amusement park. The "Ghost Train" will be running throughout October to celebrate Halloween. Online reservations required. Fun fact: Tweetsie was a functioning train in Western NC in the late 1800s- early 1900s. Haleigh's family worked for ET&WNC Railroad when Tweetsie was active.
Check out the Shoppes on Main Street in Blowing Rock for unique finds. We recommend stopping by the Tea & Spice Exchange.
Best view of the Blue Ridge and highest peak in NC. You can hike up to the top via the Profile Trail if you're feeling adventurous, or drive up through the park. There is a zoo, museum, and access to the “mile-high swinging bridge” inside the park. Call or go online to make reservations ahead of time.
If you like history and have time, stop by Haleigh's family home in Pineola to see where her deep love for WNC all began. This property, formerly known as the "Riverside Tea Room," is where her great-grandparents owned their small business and lived for many years until the flood of 1940.
