As of March, 6, 2022, travelers to Ireland are NOT required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative PCR test result upon arrival. And, there are no post-arrival testing or quarantine requirements and no longer a requirement to complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form. In other words, all travel requirements to enter Ireland have been removed! For those returning to the U.S., the U.S. still requires proof of negative test taken within 1 day of travel. The country is as of now (Mar. 2022) accepting FDA authorized eMed home tests for travel and treatment, taken virtually with a certified proctor through the website/app. It's super easy and super fast, as we have done it before when returning from international travel and it's reimbursable through insurance. Barberstown Castle

In the event that the room block at The K Club is full and the price booked through another site like hotels.com is prohibitive, Barberstown Castle is another great option that guests have begun to book rooms in. It is currently available for $270 a night via www.hotels.com as one example, free cancellation before July 6, a 3-minute drive or 20-minute walk to The K Club, and a 13-minute walk to the welcome party at Straffan Inn. It is a good option if you'd prefer to be near the venue for wedding festivities vs. downtown!

The Morrison, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

For those preferring to stay downtown, we recommend The Morrison, in the heart of central Dublin. This is where we will have a shuttle bus pick up and drop off on the day of the wedding. But, you really can't go wrong anywhere downtown!

For guests staying downtown, we will have a day-of bus shuttle on Saturday from The Morrison to The K Club, and return service back that evening. We will update this section closer to the big day with exact schedule and specific details.

Uber/Etc.

FREE NOW is actually the go-to app in Dublin that's just like Uber but better priced and more readily available, especially in downtown. Additionally, Uber is available too but it's not as popular, and thus usually surge priced. According to the locals, this is the order of availability/popularity there if you want to download and toggle between a couple: 1. FREE NOW 2. Bolt 3. Uber We recommend taking a taxi to your hotel upon arrival at the airport and using FREE NOW the remainder of the time to get around.
