On April 17, 2023, Hailey and Taive matched on Hinge. Hailey made the first move after seeing a very cute picture of Taive on his motorcycle and sent the first message, “hey😊”. They connected over their love for the outdoors, travel, and their closeness with family-all things they were both looking for in a partner. They felt so lucky to have matched when they did because the very next day, Taive left for a job in Pennsylvania and they realized they had almost missed eachother. They talked long distance for a little over a month before Taive made the 5 day drive back to Boise to meet Hailey. They hit it off right from the start and Taive decided to quit his job in Pennsylvania and stay in Boise so they could pursue their relationship. They met eachothers families within the first month of dating and both families were so welcoming and amazing. Hailey and Taive knew it was a good fit and felt so lucky to have such awesome support. After a little over a year of dating, they went on a cruise around the carribean with some family from both sides. While in St. Thomas, Hailey was given a brochure of all the local stores, including a jewelry store. Hailey showed Taive a picture of a ring and playfully joked that they should go and check them out while there, unknown to Hailey that Taive already had an engagement ring in his backpack. They hopped on a boat from there to St. John to see a beach voted #1 in the world. While on the boat a downpour began that would last through the boat ride and the transportation to the beach. Taive almost changed his mind about popping the question there because of the rain but as soon as they arrived at the beach, the sun came out and it became the most beautiful day. Taive took Hailey for a walk down the beach and proposed at Trunks Bay on October 29th 2024. It was the most perfect proposal and everything they both dreamed it would be. They got right to wedding planning as soon as they got home and are so excited for their big day, October 4th 2025!
