Question

How should we dress for the weekend?

Answer

September in Maine is usually beautiful — but she can be a little unpredictable! One minute it’s sunny and 75°, the next you’re reaching for a hoodie. Check the forecast before you pack so you’re ready for whatever Mother Nature throws our way. We're hoping for some sunny days that allow us to take in all that camp has to offer! For fun at camp and on the lake, we recommend bringing a bathing suit, casual and comfortable clothing especially if you want to participate in the athletic areas the camp has to offer- tennis/ pickleball courts, basketball courts, kickball. Both nights we’ll be gathering around the campfire, so pack something cozy to lounge in. Think hoodies, sweatpants, flannels, or whatever keeps you warm and comfortable. Welcome Dinner: Casual attire! We’re just so excited to have all our favorite people in one place, and we want everyone to feel relaxed and at ease. Ceremony & Reception: We’re dressing things up a bit for this one, cocktail attire is recommended. The ceremony will take place outdoors on the lawn, so plan your footwear accordingly: wedges, block heels, flats, sandals, or even barefoot (it is camp, after all!)

Question

WHEN DO I NEED TO RSVP and pay my cabin reservation BY?

Answer

We're asking that you kindly RSVP and pay your cabin reservation by June 12th, however, the earlier the better! You do not need to reserve and pay for your cabin at the same time, so you could RSVP today and pay later (by June 12th!) If you need more time to sort out your plans, please reach out directly to Hailey or Andrew ahead of that date.

Question

Do I need to bring my own food and alcohol?

Answer

For those of you staying at camp with us, meals will be provided, but snacks are on you! It doesn't hurt to bring your favorite munchies. Beer and wine will be provided at the welcome dinner. On the wedding day, guests will be able to enjoy an open bar during the dinner and reception as well. Outside of those times, Camp Mataponi is BYOB. Please be responsible and respectful to camp staff. The Umbrella Factory (639 Roosevelt Trail # 4099, Naples, ME 04055) just 5 minutes from camp could be your one stop shop for all last minute camp needs on your way in!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Please bring your wedding attire and toiletries. You may also want to bring: - a bathing suit - games - comfortable shoes - warm layers (sweatshirt, sweatpants, jacket) - extra blanket/ pillow - a cooler if you decide to BYOB

Question

DO WE HAVE TO STAY OVERNIGHT?

Answer

Although we hope you'll want to join in on the fun on the lake, there are also hotels and Airbnb's in the area. If you're only able to make the wedding, it will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026!

Question

What happens if I don't pay for my stay at Camp Mataponi?

Answer

Anyone who hasn't paid for their stay at Camp Mataponi will NOT get a cabin assigned to them. You are still invited to the wedding assuming you've responded you are attending, but you will not have a cabin at the end of the night and will have to find another place to stay.

Question

I can't pay for my reservation on Venmo, do I have other options?

Answer

Yes!! Feel free to pay using Paypal, Apple Cash, OR contact Hailey and Andrew and we can figure out an option for checks/cash.

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

Camp Mataponi has enough space for all of our guests to park a car. You won't be needing your vehicle once you get to the camp, unless you want to run to a nearby grocery store for any items, so you'll have a convenient place to store your vehicle while enjoying the few days of fun!
