A great wine bar that we visited and loved on our trip through Hood River. Highly recommend it as a great place to grab a glass of wine while downtown and toast to the start of your trip!
For a casual bite, Solstic doles out whole wood-fired pizzas, slices, and soft-serve ice cream along the Hood River waterfront. You can also take your pizza to go and head to the river's shoreline for a picnic-style meal.
The place to go for a “fine, locally-sourced meal” in the area. The menu is heavy on veggies and fresh fish, and there's plenty of Oregon-made wine and beer to choose from as well.
Great beers and views of the river! Drink a cold beer after a long hike, and watch the kiteboarders on the river!
Hiyu works closely with Mt. Hood Organic Farms, our venue, and Apple orchard, to produce award-winning sparkling cider. Stop by the Hiyu tasting room for a taste!
A unique rural farm experience awaits you in the beautiful Hood River Valley, where you will encounter 28 on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and fields of flowers. The Hood River Valley has a rich agricultural heritage, beginning with the planting of the first fruit trees in 1855, resulting in 14,500 acres of pears, apples, and cherries that cover the valley today. Wander down the 35 miles of scenic country roads on your self-guided tour and create great adventures with family and friends, while exploring the abundance of farm products grown in the valley.
We went here for a glass of great rosé and charcuterie board! A short 20-minute drive from Downtown Hood River. It is across the river, on the Washington state side. Worth the drive, great late lunch spot after a nice hike or day on the river!
Along the famous "Fruit Loop", a fun and delicious u-pick orchard with pears, apples, and other local fruit!
Featuring hard ciders, wines, farm fresh food, fruit, flowers, & more! Fourth generation family-owned and operated farm since 1908.
The Coyote Wall Trail on the Washington side of the river is a great place to start, especially if you want sweeping views of the gorge. And if you time your visit right, it’s a great place for spotting wildflowers.
Gorgeous hike for wildflowers and insane views of the gorge! You'll head cross the river on the Washington side! Towering views of Mt. Hood but a total tush kicker! You may need a permit, the All Trails link will have more information.
Gorgeous waterfall along the drive from Portland to Hood River! A great place to stretch your legs. One of the most icon waterfalls in Oregon.
