Question

Dress Code

Answer

Think cocktail attire meets mountain garden party. We want to look elegant but feel our best selves. Also please wear or bring comfortable shoes. The ceremony and cocktail hour will all be on the grass, and then we will dance all night long in the tent. Yes, you can bring Birkenstocks.

Question

Prepare for Colorado Evenings

Answer

Please bring a light jacket or layer for the evening. There will be a place to put your coats in the lodge so there's no need to carry them around with you. During the day, the weather can be in the 70's-80's but the temperature drops in the evenings towards the low 50's-60's. Layers are your best friend.

Question

Shuttle Busses

Answer

Shuttles Provided. Our venue wants everyone to have the best time and not have to worry about mountain roads. Unless you are a Colorado Local do not drive to the venue. We will have shuttles picking up and dropping off at the Wyndham Hotel and Comfort Inn in Avon. Please do not be late for pickup times. Only Colorado Locals are allowed to drive themselves. Shuttle Departures to Venue: 4pm Comfort Inn (then will go to the Wyndham to pick up other guests.) 4:15-4:30pm Wyndham Hotel Shuttle Departures Back to Hotels: 9:15pm early shuttle back. (Please meet in the Club House at this time for transport.) 10:30pm Shuttles back to hotels After Party Shuttles: 11:30pm early shuttle back 12:30am Final Shuttle Back. All guests must depart at this time.

Question

After Party

Answer

The After Party is completely optional but we would love to have you there. The After Party will also be at Camp Hale after the wedding is over in the adjoining cabins. There will be fire pits, marshmallows, coolers, stars, and merriment for all. Shuttle will drive us all back: the early shuttle at 11:30pm and the final Shuttles at 12:30am.

Question

Avoid Altitude Sickness... Drink Water

Answer

Altitude sickness is no joke. We want everyone to have the best time and understand that many of you are coming from a lower elevation. Drinking as much water as possible on your way here and when you land and that helps a lot. We will have plenty of booze at the wedding so please take care of yourself on the way here.

Question

No Service at the Venue

Answer

We are in the heart of the mountains, so there is no service at the venue. Please make sure to air on the early side when getting on the shuttles, for it will be difficult to contact us if anything goes awry.
