Hadley and Carly are the same person but in slightly different fonts. They met because Carly lived across the hall from Hadley her freshman year at Purdue, and they bonded over Barbie movies, football, Bible studies, Anne with an E, and painful physics homework. Carly was one-half responsible for introducing Hadley and Luke! Carly, Hadley, Luke, and Dale spent almost all of senior year hanging out together, and they went to Europe together after graduation :)

Megan and Hadley were besties before Hadley even started kindergarten! It was easy for the two of them to convince people that they were sisters because they have matching curly hair, and they would spend almost every day together growing up. Megan taught Hadley how to run backwards, how to play euchre, and how not to take cross country practice too seriously. Megan was mad at Hadley for betraying her by going to Purdue, but she found a way to stay Hadley's friend anyway. At Luke and Hadley's engagement, Megan hid behind a tree to video the whole proposal - and you can hear her happy scream from behind the camera :)

Hadley bought Audrey on Facebook Marketplace when looking for a roommate her freshman year at Purdue. The two of them spent countless slap-happy nights staying up laughing until they cried, trying to learn how to throw with our non-dominant hands (never successfully), and discussing period-piece romances. Audrey was key in Luke's surprise proposal! It was Audrey who invited Hadley and Luke up to Purdue for a dinner to 'celebrate her work anniversary' - when, in fact, she was hiding behind a tree on Slayter hill to take pictures when he popped the question :)

Claire was Hadley's 'little sister' in their shared sorority, and they both firmly believe that there has never been a more perfect pairing. Hadley and Claire have very different vibes (Hadley could never hope to be as cool and fashionable as Claire), but when they are together, it is so obvious why they're so close :)

Kaitlin's first thought about Hadley when they met in middle school was "this girl asks way too many questions" (which was true). Somehow, Hadley still won Kaitlin over by relentlessly pestering her and sitting next to her in the lunchroom, and since then, Kaitlin has been Hadley's plus-one to weddings, family vacations, college football games, and anything else Hadley dragged her to - so it made sense that Hadley would ask Kaitlin to be a plus-one for her on her wedding day :)

Addie Rose and Hadley grew up together as cousins, but were as close to sisters as two only children could be. Hadley was at the hospital when Addie Rose was born, and from that day on, they were inseparable at every family function - and every family function received a dance recital that we had choreographed that night (usually Taylor Swift-related) :)

Tessca and Hadley became friends because they simply existed near each other in the Phi Mu kitchen one too many times. They went from doing homework next to each other to wearing cowboy hats around the house, making snow-cones out of the snow outside, having sleepovers to watch The Bachelor, and making fun of each other nonstop - and Tessca continues to make Hadley laugh all the time :)

Caroline and Hadley decided to room together in Indianapolis after meeting through Boiler Gold Rush, the Purdue orientation program. The two of them ended up spending tons of time together in Indy, taking walks, watching Gossip Girl, having late-night talks, and joining the same Bible study. Now, Caroline is one of Hadley's favorite people, bringing sunshine to any room she walks into :) Caroline spent lots of time with Luke and Hadley during the beginning of the couple's relationship! She was part of many of Hadley and Luke's favorite memories :)

Katie and Hadley met when Katie was placed in a temporary housing across the hall from Hadley freshman year at Purdue (which was a broom closet). Hadley ended up joining the same sorority as Katie, where they spent lots of quality time together over COVID - some of it was spent in quarantine for 2 weeks at a hotel off campus! Katie never fails to bring a smile to Hadley's face, and no matter how much time has passed between seeing each other, they always pick up right where they left off :) Katie was the reason for Hadley's first visit to Shelbyville! Also, the first time Hadley heard Luke's name, it was when Katie told her that Luke was her boyfriend in third grade (don't worry, Katie gave her permission for Hadley to date an ex ;))
