In the heart of Wausau, Lukas and Hadeleigh's paths converged as Granite Peak Ski Area employees. Lukas, an avid skier turned instructor and facility manager, was drawn to the slopes with unbridled enthusiasm. Hadleigh, with her bubbly personality, has found joy and money for college tuition behind the ski hill bar. Their worlds collide when multiple co-workers launch a plan to get the both of them to become one. Over the following weeks, Lukas made every excuse to provide help around the bar to talk with Hadleigh though it was met with no avail (Denial 1 of 3...). After Lukas left the ski hill it took him being a patron on the other side of the bar for him to win over Hadleigh. The relationship became official at a party being held for Hadleigh's departure to Kansas City, Missouri. Hadleigh and Lukas's relationship has gone the distance, as they now reside in their hometown of Wausau, WI.

On April 1st, Lukas and Hadleigh made a commitment to each other that brings you all here to this website. Though Hadleigh had no clue about the commitment she would be making that day, all of her friends and family did. Lukas had planned an elaborate day with a grand finale! It all started with french toast and a bloody mary with Lukas's sister Miranda, where at breakfast Lukas slipped his sister the ring. Breakfast was followed by a day at the ski hill, where it all began. While getting ready in the parking lot, Lukas broke his ski boot, putting the day in jeopardy. Hadleigh quickly offered to forgo the skiing and head to the sun deck for a beer and a bloody. But Lukas, knowing that all of their friends and family were already at the sun deck he knew they had to go skiing, so with some modifications and a lot of pain, the couple made their way to the lift. While skiing, the Couple met up with Miranda and enjoyed a chairlift beer that was quickly replaced in Lukas' fanny pack with the ring. After a couple of runs, the couple made their way down the Granite Peak headwall to the sun deck, where their friends and family awaited. When the couple reached the bottom of the hill the entire sundeck watched them from below, Lukas pulled the ring from his fanny pack and popped the question. Hadleigh was caught by complete surprise and was overcome with joy and emotion. The day continued with the couple rejoicing with their friends and family as the sun shined on a beautiful spring day.
