FAQs

If you have any additional questions besides what we have outlined here, please contact either Hadassa or Aaron. You can reach us on our cells or at hadassa.holzapfel@gmail.com and aaronadler2@gmail.com .
Question

What about COVID?!?!

Answer

Great question! This has been our top concern, too! Your safety and health are our biggest priority. We hope that you can join us for any or all parts of the wedding but we completely understand if you do not feel comfortable traveling given the current situation. Based on our current guest count, >90% have COVID antibodies. Nonetheless, we will be asking everyone to wear masks and following social distancing guidelines. We tried making as much as possible outdoors to make everyone more comfortable (us included). We plan to seat guests only with people that they traveled/live with. We will also have additional tables outdoors if you do not feel comfortable sitting at your assigned table. Once you arrive to the venue, your RSVP will be checked, temperature taken and a mask will be given to you. There will also be hand sanitizer available for your convenience. Please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us with any concerns you have about this.

Question

There's so much going on right now, I don't know if I can commit yet! When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We know that with the current COVID pandemic, it can be hard to commit. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to attend for Shabbat and/or our wedding. If things are still too unknown for you, you can let us know the week of. We are trying to stay flexible throughout all of this and have asked our vendors to do the same.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Simply click the RSVP tab and enter your name as it was spelled on your invitation. Your RSVP will outline your invitation along with anyone that may have been invited in your party. If you believe there has been an error please email the bride at hadassa.holzapfel@gmail.com. RSVP will be required for seating.

Question

I am not able to travel right now, how can I celebrate with you instead?

Answer

We totally get it! Life is busy and add a pandemic on top and it becomes madness. We hope you can join us in person, but in the event that is not possible, we will have a livestream of our bedeken/tish and chuppah (wedding ceremony). Please let us know if this would be a good alternative for you. Link to follow soon.

Question

Do you have any travel recommendations?

Answer

Atlanta is a popular city so there are many flights in and out daily. We typically search on Kayak or Expedia for our flights but we also look at Southwest because they aren't included in the general search engines. If you are having trouble finding the right flights, Aaron would be more than happy to help (but actually, this is fun to him! Weird, right?!) Shoot him a text or email him at aaronadler2@gmail.com

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The Shabbat before the wedding will take place at Chabad Intown. We have a group rate with Hotel Clermont which is ~5 min walking distance. There are also tons of Airbnbs in the area. If you are only traveling in for the wedding, there are hotels closer to our venue (Butterfly Pavilion) in Acworth, GA. Please reach out to us if this applies to you and we'd be happy to help you coordinate your stay.

Question

What will the weather be like (beginning of May in Atlanta)?

Answer

May is typically a great month weather wise in Atlanta! Average highs are in the high 70s, while the nightly lows average somewhere in the high 50s. So pack your best spring layers & you'll be set! There is always a chance of rain in Atlanta so please check the weather when you pack.

Question

How far is everything from each other?

Answer

Shabbat will be taking place at Chabad Intown which is right by Ponce City Market. Our venue (Butterfly Pavilion), however, is located in Acworth, GA. Hotel Clermont is ~5 minutes walking distance to Chabad. It is ~40 minutes driving distance away from our venue. ATL airport is ~20 minutes driving distance from Chabad/Hotel Clermont. The airport is ~45min away from our venue, The Butterfly Pavilion.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are working on this. Please indicate on the GoogleSheet we sent out if you are interested in this. Depending on the amount of interest, we may coordinate Uber rides or a minibus.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly request Formal attire. Use this as an excuse to break out the fancy outfits - jumpsuits, cocktail dresses, suit & tie, sports coat! Weather-permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors in the grass, so ladies, keep this in mind when choosing your footwear! Please dress for the weather - a light jacket may be needed for the evening. Please dress in modest attire according to Jewish tradition. For females, this generally means wearing skirts or dresses which are near the knee, sleeves which cover the upper arm, and modest necklines. Of course we want everyone to feel comfortable at our wedding, so if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to either of us.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! If you are invited, so are your kids! Please just indicate on your RSVP that your kid/s is/are joining us and state their age :)

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! If you are able to come for the whole weekend, we would love for you to join us on Shabbat. If you happen to be in Atlanta for longer, let us know!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence in Atlanta is gift enough! If you would still like to gift us something you can see our registry on Zola which is connected to our registries at Crate & Barrel and Bloomingdale's.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 2PM for the bedecken/tish (lots of great food and drinks). If you can't make it by 2PM, we strongly recommend being there by 3PM for our ceremony.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is tons of free parking at the venue and there are even golf carts (if needed) to transport you from the parking lot to the venue (or you can walk <1 minute). There are 3 handicap parking spots in the front - please contact us if you require one of those. Our coordinator will make sure that you get around the premises.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Please indicate that when you RSVP for the respective event.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! Signature cocktails TBA Please drink responsibly and arrange for Uber or Lyft rides if you plan to indulge.

Question

What if I will only be attending the ceremony and not the reception / dinner?

Answer

Please RSVP and then email the bride at hadassa.holzapfel@gmail.com so that we can remove you from the catering count. The reception and ceremony will be held in the same venue, you will be missed if you leave!

Question

Despite the Hadassa & Aaron's best efforts at anticipating every possible FAQ, I still have a question! What's the best way to get in touch?

Answer

Leading up to the big day, feel free to call, text, or email either the bride or groom using the info below.
