City Museum
This place is awesome! Couldn't recommend it more. It's like a playground meets a funhouse meets architectural reclamation meets scientific curiosity. There's an adult size playground on the roof, a Ferris Wheel, caverns, a bank vault and so much more. Embrace play and intrigue and let yourself feel like a kid (or bring your kiddos there).
St. Louis Union Station
The extensive complex includes a couple bars/restaurants, an aquarium, a large Ferris Wheel, a Carousel, Miniature Golf course and an indoor ropes course.
Brewery Scene
For beer drinkers, the St. Louis metro area has a notable brewery scene. There's the flagship location of Anheauser-Busch, 4 Hands Brewing Co, Alpha Brewing Co, Schlafly Beer, Side Project Brewing, Urban Chestnut Brewing, Rockwell Beer Company, and more. You can also pop over to neighboring O'Fallon, IL (where Ryan was raised) to check out Peel Brewing Co. Side note: There is an O'Fallon, Missouri west of St. Louis that contains some breweries. This is separate than O'Fallon, IL (next to Collinsville, IL)
Busch Stadium
The Cardinals are at home the weekend of the wedding if anyone wants to catch a baseball game the day before or after.
Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site
Cahokia Mounds Heritage Site is considered the largest pre-Columbian site north of Mexico. It is a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Collinsville; or 15-20 minutes from the center of St. Louis. There is no admission fee.
The Gateway Arch
If you're a national park junkie and want to cross one off your list, stop by the infamous Arch in St Louis. I can't vouch that it will compare to Yosemite, Glacier, Yellowstone, etc. but it certainly is a feat of engineering. And technically counts.
