We met at Pitt, in the school Cafeteria "Market Central", of all places. Sam was chatting with a group of friends, having a philosophical conversation about life and our place in the universe, the type of conversation your average college kid might have. Joe over hears this conversation and asks to join in! It was love at first sight (for Sam anyway). Sam spent the entire next year keeping Joe in her sights, and eventually invited him to her Spring A'Capella concert, where sparks flew and a first kiss was born (in the rain, so romantic!). And the rest is history.

Joe surprised Sam for Christmas of 2016 with FRONT ROW TICKETS to see her favorite singer, Josh Groban, performing on Broadway in "The Great Comet". As the date drew nearer, Sam began to have outlandish thoughts that perhaps Joe would pop the question at the show, so she had her nails done just in case. Low and Behold, the question was indeed popped just following the curtain call. We spent the rest of that amazing day enjoying Korean BBQ, Bubble Tea, almost getting lost on the subway, then finishing off the night with a rooftop tour of the Freedom Tower so we could "See our Forever" future together.
