Check-In at Achnagairn
4:00 pm
Check-in to your accommodations at Achnagairn will begin at 4pm. Unfortunately, the castle can't admit any guests prior to this time. As this is not a hotel, there are no waiting areas outside the main castle rooms, so if you are arriving into Inverness prior to this time, please plan to make arrangements to fill your time prior to this check-in period. There are some lovely coffee shops and places to grab lunch in Inverness and Beauly, both of which are quite close by and are connected to Achnagairn via public transport by bus. Staff will be on hand to welcome guests until 8pm. If you are arriving past 8pm, there will be check-in instructions for you, as well as the details of the Achnagairn estate manager in case of any difficulties. Please let us know if you plan to arrive past 8pm so we can inform the Achnagairn staff.
Welcome Party

Attire: Summer Cocktail / Smart Casual
We will be hosting a welcome party on Wednesday, July 9th beginning at 5:30pm. If weather permits, we will host the party in the beautiful garden outdoors of Achnagairn Castle. Given that check-in to your accommodations at Achnagairn begin at 4pm, we expect that guests will get settled in their room and then mosey down to the welcome party when they are ready. For guests who are arriving later in the evening, feel free to join whenever you are able to, as it will be quite informal. We will be hiring a pizza food truck for dinner and will also be providing light appetizers and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Guests will be able to serve themselves for both food and drinks. We will also be acquiring an assortment of Scottish whiskeys for an informal whiskey tasting later in the evening for all who are interested!

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Attire: Cocktail / Formal
The wedding ceremony will begin at 1pm on Thursday, July 10. Following the ceremony, there will be a break during which the wedding pictures will be taken and guests will enjoy canapés and drinks. Please feel free to stop back by your rooms during this time if needed, tend to children, or otherwise relax and enjoy yourself before the formal reception and meal. Beginning at 4pm, guests will be seated in the castle ballroom for the main wedding meal (which the Scottish refer to as "Wedding Breakfast"). Food will be served around roughly 5pm and the rest of the evening will include speeches, dancing, and an evening snack around 9-10pm.

Check-Out
11:30 am
Check-out time for all Achnagairn accommodations is 11:30am on Friday, July 11. We will be traveling via train to Edinburgh following check-out and encourage others to join us if they would like to. We will arrange for transportation to the train station for all who choose to join. If you are traveling to the airport or elsewhere in Inverness, please plan to notify the front desk at Achnagairn prior to check-out so that they can call a taxi for you.
